Help ripping sprites from We Happy Restaurant

Hey there- I'm a new-ish ripper, and am currently trying to pull apart the game We Happy Restaurant, which I've been kind of addicted to lately, and which I want to rip the assets from. I've exported the APK to my computer through Nox (I could also try grabbing it from my phone if that'd work better) and run it through apktool, but I run into a problem in that a solid...95% of the game's assets are missing. It seemingly only grabs assets from the loading screens; it doesn't even get anything from the title screen. 

I am very frustrated and decided to turn to here for help (since I was planning on submitting the assets here once I got my hands on them anyway); if anyone can find how to get to the missing assets I'd be mighty grateful! I can PM the APK I have if it's needed.

Does the game require an Internet connection? (either constantly or the first time it is run), since some games download assets from the cloud. If not, try renaming the apk to .zip and opening it like that.
