Ripping models from Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
#1
So, I've been messing around with the PS2 version of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. In the main catalogue of the game disk, there is a file named "MKDA.PAK", which I assume contains models. I unpacked it using a tool named PAKTool from a GitHub page dedicated to Mortal Kombat tools, which resulted in a folder called "ps2dvd" being unpacked, which contains another folder named "artps2", which contains a bunch of files with the SSF extension, the majority of them are dedicated to the characters. I used another tool called "SSFX" on one of them. It resulted in unpacking a bunch of DAT files, and here is where I got stuck. Not sure how to possibly open or convert those files. I also used Game Extractor on the SSF files, and it sort of confirmed that they contain models and bones. Does anyone have some clue how to proceed further?
