Neopets: Faerie's Hope
#1
Hi all!

Recently, Faerie's Hope came out, and I'd love to get my hands on the new 3D Neopets and faeries. However, I'm not too sure where the model files are located.
The game is Unity based, and loading it up in Asset Studio *does* produce results, but only for sprites and the like. No meshes to be found, save for some very basic shapes that seem to go unused in the game as far as I can see. I've definitely seen the 3D characters numerous times in the game, so they should be present somewhere..
I'm thinking the game may be encrypted or needs to be decompiled, but I've never decompiled a Unity game before. Could anyone offer some assistance?
The game itself is a match 3 game similar to Garden or Homescapes, if that helps narrow down anything about how to nab the files. I'm playing on Nox emulator, but can move to Bluestacks if it helps.

Thank you so much and happy holidays!

Small update in case anyone else is looking to rip from these Neopets games -- I figured it out with some assistance from another person offsite.

The files are stored in .apk files, and can be extracted with AssetStudio or AssetRipper. You'll just need to go to root/data/app on a rooted device/emulator, and export the APKs there.

The one I found the files in was called split_InstallTimeContent.apk, and it looks like this is how the files are stored in the other Neopets mobile game, Island Builders, as well.  Smile

Hopefully this'll help more than, like, two people! Happy ripping.
