[Wii U] - Bayonetta 2 - Impossible to unpack .pck file
#1
Why greetings, people of the VG resource! Smile

I permitted myself to create a thread because it seems that I have stumbled on an unsolved issue while trying to extract all of Bayonetta 2's VGM.
Unlike regular Wii U titles, the game's audio appears not to be stored on the "Sound/bgm" directory...or, well, at least not in the way we could expect it:
When opened with VGMstream, the one .bnk file present in the sound folder reveals to contain only snippets of the tracks, lasting no more than 2 or 3 seconds (which explains why the size of this file is only 1.9 MB).

I reckoned that the actual full-fledged music is packed inside a single 2.44 GB .pck file, named "All.pck", amongst the rest of the game's "streamable" content, such as textures.
However, my attempts at opening that file have been unfruitful: As expected, renaming the file is of no use; the 3 specialised programs I usually use for these sorts of operations  - Dragon Unpacker 5, Switch Toolbox and PCK studio - either do no recognise the file or extract corrupted data, and, of course, Internet has definitely no clue what the hell I'm rambling on about! Rawr~ Cry

I shall therefore turn to you all, genius of the video game tinkering world: Aid me in the quest of extracting the dazzling soundtrack of the game that awoke Nintendo's concealed-since-the-80's lust!  Frosty!

In all seriousness, any help would be truly appreciated! Big Grin
Thank you all so much for reading this request! May everyone have a magnificent day! Cute

EDIT: Looking at the reply counter still being 0, the absolute idiot that I am is finally starting to realise that this thread is certainly not allowed here, due to the fact that it is a question regarding VGMs. Though it was only meant for personal use (I never planned to upload this "illegal" content onto the VG resource website, of course), I sincerely apologise for creating a thread which does not comply which the community's guideline. I will find answers elsewhere

In any case, thanks to everyone who still took the time to read my post! I wish you all a marvellous day Smile
