FF7 Ever Crisis
#1
( I hope I posted in the right section and if not, do move it to somewhere appropriate.)

Hello there, VG Resource!

I just recently have FF7 Ever Crisis on Steam and I was planning to extract some models from that game but unfortunately, the files were heavily encrypted; they weren't in .asset or .bundle, stuff like that. Instead, they're are ".meta" and 32 characters filled with random numbers and letters.

Another file that I found was "octocacheevai", which I have no idea what this is. But according to my research, this specific file only exists in two different games; Nier Reincarnation and IDOLY PRIDE, both for Android.

Also, there's one DeviantART user, DatKofGuy, managed to extract their costumes from that game. The thing is, I don't know how he did it or what program he uses.

So, if anyone knows how to extract the models from this game, please let me know by either leave a response or send me a message via DM.

Hope you guys have a great day and thank you for reading!

You can rip models of this game with ninjaripper 1.7.1

I got some models in this way, but my 3d modeling  knowledge is too basic to rip them in a satisfactory way.

furthermore, I couldn't rip in T pose.

I guess that's one way to rip the models, but that would probably time consuming ripping each and every models. There was one user who're able to extract every single assets from that game BUT I'd love to extract it myself because that way, I can find what model I want to extract.

I'm still searching for it everywhere, but so far, got nothing. I'm gonna look for it UNTIL I found the tool.

Still looking at the moment. There were no other leads on the file I'm looking for, so I might focus on "global-metadata.dat", see if there's any information on it. Although "il2cpp" seems like a clue to me, but I'll see what I can find.

UPDATE:- I made small progress on extracting FF7 Ever Crisis. HOWEVER, I'm still on early stages as the process for extracting the game is very complicated.

It's very difficult for me to explain in details but long story short; it's not as easy as "drag-and-drop" and everything's extracted like magic.
Will keep everyone updated as I'm figuring out the next step.
