Enter The Matrix was a video game released in 2003, as a tie-in to The Matrix film series. It was part of an ambitious transmedia storytelling experiment where it told a story which ran parallel to The Matrix films.
For some time now I have been working on a fan edit of The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions which incorporates some of the scenes from Enter the Matrix. This has mainly involved the live action cutscenes shot exclusively for the game. I am also including a Machinema animated sequence.
The scene is set inside the Virtual Construct which is thematically appropriate. It consists of a sparing match between Trinity and the player character Ghost. The models for the two characters are unique to this stage. The environment is dressed to look like an Japanese Zen Garden and includes many destructible elements. I have tried to make this with entirely captured gameplay footage, though there is only so much you can do with the in game engine. In order to get more dynamic more visually interesting camera angles requires they be animated.
While the game was released for PC and all home consoles at the time, the in-game models for the Xbox version of the game were of the best quality (I believe at the time Microsoft requested to game developers specifically to make the Xbox versions of games to look better than their PC counterparts).
I am looking for someone with the capability to rip models from original Xbox games. I am a Mac user so I am incapable of doing so.
