So, this will be my first post on VG Resource, but I was just wondering something about what games can be ripped for their sprites/models.
So, hmm, how do I put it? Well, I've been a fan of characters inspired by the Creepypasta Sonic.exe for a while, now. The .exe sub-genre of Internet Horror Media (I'm saying that instead of "Creepypasta" as this is a bit more generic and there are characters who are horror characters which I wouldn't describe as "Creepypasta" characters) has led to the creation of many horror characters.
Well, as you probably know, there are a lot of Creepypasta Fangames/ROM Hacks inspired by Video Game Creepypastas, including fangames of Sonic.exe. However, there are some cases of Original Characters from games not based upon other creepypastas, like the' (otherwise known as "Coronation Day", whose Peach is part of some Friday Night Funkin' Mods) and sm64.z64 (a Horror ROM Hack for Super Mario 64 which features a corrupted Mario-like character Simply known as "M").
I'm just wondering on the stance of VG Resource on those sorts of games. Like Sonic PC Port (where Lord X is from for those who don't know), MY5TCrimson's Sonic.exe (the original Sonic.exe Fangame), Mario '85 (where MX is from), etc.
Like, I know that Mario: The Music Box has had its sprites ripped, and that SCP: Containment Breach is a section on Models Resource, but would other games like the games I've listed above be allowed to be ripped?
Is this a stupid question to ask? I mean, I don't know whether this question was asked before, so.
