Hello!
I want to extract SF6 voice lines into usable audio formats. I have gotten as far as using RETool to extract its files but have not been able to get the sound files out of any *.bnk file.
I have used wwiseutil-gui and bnkextr to extract *.wem's then ww23ogg to convert to *.ogg but none of them have been playable in VLC.
If anyone has successfully extracted voices/audio before, please let me know the steps I need to take.
Thank you

I've extracted sound effects from this game before, but did you use a .list file so that all files are properly organized before extracting the .pak?
Most of the sound banks in the game's "wwise" folder may have music, sound effects and voices, though some of them are packaged .pck banks. The .bnks (and .wems) can be playable in foobar2000, so foobar can convert audio (from the .bnks) to .wav, .aac, .aiff, .au/snd, .flac, .mp3, .ogg (vorbis), etc...

Hello Jacinata,
Yes I did, I was actually following your older post here https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-41827.html
I used RETool + the *.list file from the REE.PAK.Tool link. I tried renaming the audio files as described and opening in Foobar2000 but was not able to play them.

So, you're trying to convert sound effects into usable audio formats... You used wwiseutil-gui and bnkextr to extract .wem files then ww23ogg to convert them to .ogg, but said that none could be playable in VLC or foobar2000?
For me, I was successfully able to get the sound files out of any .bnk file (but not from some .pck and .bnk files) by converting them to .wavs (or any of the other formats in the pre-sound conversion settings) in foobar2000. If the file is playable, you can see it's duration time if the "Duration" column is enabled in-program, but if it's unplayable, you'll see a "?" instead and attempting to play the file will give you an error message.
Isn't your foobar2000 program up-to-date or something, as i'm using v1.6.11.? Which version of Street Fighter 6 did you extract the .pak from?: The PS4/PS5 version, the Xbox Series X/S version, or the Steam version (that I previously had used to extract the sfx)?

Yes, I've used whatever methods I've come across searching to extract the audio. Maybe I am not extracting the right data file? re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak's cmt004_eng_01_m.sbnk.1.x64 is what I've been using. I'd like to get cut scene/story dialogue if possible.
I am using the Steam version, foobar 2.1.4.

You're hoping to extract the play-by-play and color commentators' voices as well, as I'd think that the "cmt" in the "cmt004_eng_01_m.sbnk.1.x64" file stands for Real-Time Commentary. SF6 has an optional Real-Time Commentary feature where commentators watch the action in real-time, giving it a more tournament-style feel, or to allow the option to cheer the player on. There are four for each of the two commentary types: play-by-play and color; as players can choose whether to enable color commentary. The English commentators are Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez, Steve "TastySteve" Scott, Thea "Zelina Vega" Trindad, and James "jchensor" Chen; and the Japanese commentators are Aru, Kosuke Hiraiwa, Demon Kakka and Hikaru Takahashi.
As for World Tour, Fighting Ground (and Battle Hub)'s cutscene/story dialogues (both in English and Japanese), the character story voices in Fighting Ground are easier for me to extract than the in-rendered cutscenes in World Tour and Battle Hub, which can be harder to extract though because they seem to be packaged or encrypted... I think someone on the HCS forum told me that all of the real missing .wem files are inside the game's "streamed" directory. The files for these in-rendered cutscenes have the "cs" internal name in their banks. To make .sbnk and .spck files playable in foobar2000, you'll have to re-name the extensions to ".bnk" or ".pck".

I'm interested in the main character's voices from cutscenes or story dialogue. I will try again to extract and convert the wem's.

As far as i know, the player's customizable Avatar is the main character in World Tour and Battle Hub, and the masters (the 22+ fighter roster) are NPCs in World Tour, but playable main characters in Fighting Ground.
By the way, someone on the HCS forum said to me that all of the real missing .wem files are inside the game's "streamed" directory, so after you've played the game on Steam with saved/downloaded data on it, you'll find that streamed directory on your computer's system/program files.
