Easier Method to Ripe Gamecube models
#1
Is there an easier way to rip models from Gamecube games? I haven't done this for a while and I'm trying to relearn the process.

The second is also an easier way to convert said models to obj that won't mess up the textures and model?

At this moment in time, no. There is no quick way to rip Gamecube models, more popular games? Maybe, but obscure games? Not so much, every GameCube game usually has it's own filetype that'll need it's own software (Or Plugin) to import the models, the only "Easy" way so far is using NinjaRipper (Which you use during an Emulator) you just need to put the graphics setting on to Direct3D and turn on Texture Dump, this is however tedious as the models aren't T-Pose, just in the frame of animation you ripped, there is a guide on here on how to T-Pose these models (But will take editing the model itself to do this), good luck!

I usually use FinModelUtility to rip models, But this only works on the popular releases, And most of those have been all ripped from. I did find out recently that ripping models from Luigi's Mansion with the armature is really easy to do as well, But your best bet for most of the other less famous releases would still be using NinjaRipper to just get the meshes, Even if not rigged.

All games are different, However, So check online and see what tools there are. I'm sure there are ones that may help with a specific game.
