Blender Switch toolbox animation Issue
#1
I'm encountering an issue in Blender with a model and its animations exported from Switch Toolbox. When I apply the animations, the mesh becomes distorted, and the animations do not appear as expected. The model is in .DAE format, and the animations are in .SMD format. If anyone has a solution or insights into resolving this problem, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Blender's .dae importer is rather buggy and causes issues with the rigging and weights when importing animations. You can convert the .dae from Switch Toolbox into a .fbx using Noesis, then import your .smd animation. Although, keep in mind that the .smd format does not support bone scaling for animations.

I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions!
