Probably he should be a bit shorter than samus, but almost as tall. But i think that he shouldn't use the wii right hand thing.

Yeah. Out of curiosity, would that make Zelda and Sheik probably taller? Those topics have spiderwebs growing on them.

i doubt that zelda and sheik would be more than maybe 2 pixels taller, cuz otherwise they would be out of scale

So considering Link he should be about a pixel shorter than Samus.

yea, a pixel or 2, but this is him adult, so the childissness (if thats a word ) shouldn't be there, like make him have a more angular face etc.

Well, I wouldn't say almost as tall as Samus. Samus is supposed to be somewhat of a gargantuan suit of armor, and link has best legs. if he stretched them out, that would make him taller than Samus, which is rediculous. Which, with the bent legs, I realized that the new Link seems to be correct. Almost perfect.

WOAHWOAHWOAH.
E3 scared me with the whole Skyward Sword thing. Link looks bright and colorful and cartoony now, and has those eyes we know so well. You know what that means? Yes you do. OoT Link is pretty much back. He cannot be an Alt. Now. Even his hair is pretty much that way now, from what I remember. And remember what The Almighty Nintendo God himself said? The nunchuck is the shield, and is BROUGHT OUT BY YOUR CONTROL. You must bring it out with a flick of your wrist, otherwise it stays at your side. Making Link a two-sided char. is still a topic, but his stance is not. So, someone, fix up his shield please. And while you're at it, him too. He also possibly has plenty of new moves, such as the Energy Wave and the Beetle. This topic may need some serious revamping. EDIT: I just read the question Marioyoshi had about this and how many of you thanked the one who said it's the same. ^^; So, um, does this post even have any more relevence?

If anything, he looks more like TP Link, except a bit older and with brighter colors, so I don't really get why you're implying that we should use OoT's look for his default. And by alt., do you mean alternate color? Because imo "OoT Link" isn't much of an alternate costume anyway. Aaaand I have no idea what you're trying to get across with your mention of Link's shield. Also, not THAT much was shown of Skyward Sword, that I know of. Link may have new abilities but we barely know anything about them, and the game isn't even going to be released until sometime next year. I know that this Smash Bros. fangame doesn't have a schedule, but do we really want to wait around that long to give Link a concrete moveset? I know news of a new Zelda game is exciting, but unless we want to wait until 2011, I don't think its announcement really affects our iteration of Link, except maybe brighter colors for his default look. Sorry, I was a bit tired yesterday.
I re-watched the trailer, and yeah, I see his hair now, I was wrong. It is more like TP's. But what I was saying with his shield is that it is a manual thing in this game. You have to bring it out with a control, and is not automatic like in TP where it showed up every time you locked onto something. If we go by this, Link's stance is actually fine the way it is.

I like the way I did this one, but still it's everyone's decision.
Few things that need fixing, the sword for one thing, and maybe the shield can use a touch up too.

I mean no offense, but I don't really like Arrancar's Link all too much. His arms and legs look too stubby, and it seems as though his foot is as wide as his shin.. He seems to be leaning back a little bit too much, too.
I like what cacoon started with the body facing away from the screen. Looks like the moves will flow much easier. |
