Get it? Soun Deffects? Anyone? Anyway, I agree with some of the earlier posts saying that it would stray from the site's focus of sprites.

I think it would be okay as long as we stay with sound effects. Still, for a lot of games it would be hard to get good rips of them since the background music plays at same time generally. Maybe there is some easy method I overlooked, but I think it would be tough to even rip the sound unless its an iso or something with a filesystem where you can delete the background music or extract the sound effects directly.

Or if there's a "Sound Test" option for hat specific game. Still, it'd at least be worth a try.

Wow, i was just about to start a topic about this very thing when i saw it... so yeh, i think TSR should have sounds and music, it'd be great - and they're actually fairly easy to rip, there are alot of tools for this kind of thing.
EDIT: TSR could do music too, to cancel out the copyright argument the music files could be MIDI like vgmusic.com

Sound effects would be quite good. At times it can make a sprite even more effective at creating the illusion of actions. I'm not sure I worded that quite right, but oh well. What I mean to say is if something doesn't make a sound, it doesn't really feel like the character actually did anything.
