You know, the leg moving forward should probably also move towards the center. People usually don't walk moving their legs sidewards away.

I was looking at the original mothula and I'm not sure if it had eyes. It's antennae just sort of start on the face and they look like eyes. I don't know. Check for yourself:

We're trying to update the character's looks, not make them look like the originals.

EMP: Yeah...make the foot move towards the center. Use my Link's walking as a referance.

Ya the arms look like they need to loosen up a little, usually though the body moves left, and right, and the arms follow the body a little bit.
but I like the way this zora sprite walks it looks like its taking big step I like that.

The feet still go off to the side... Like I said, use my Link as a referance.

Also, the fin needs to bob a bit. They're mainly found underwater after all.

Well, not really. The style itself seems over done and unnecessary in many aspects. You use too many shades for such small sprites and it tends to have a negative effect on the quality of the sprites, giving them a dirty, pillow shaded look to them. The colours are too generic for a Zelda style as well. Zelda games often use unique styles and colours giving them the feel they usually have. The colours you're using are just overall really boring and don't bring out the style as well as it could. The characters themselves look nothing like how they're supposed to aside from the design. Using that old man Zora as an example, the original sprite had him slouched over like an old man and the staff was the only thing holding him up. his mustache also stretched right down to the bottom of the sprite. You have him standing almost all the way up and holding onto a staff which is much too tall to be of any use. His mustache is only going down to the end of his head, which doesn't seem all too old and the fin shouldn't be hanging out on the side, at the front pose, it shouldn't even be visible. I know it's visible in the original GBC sprites but it's facing more to the side in those.

tl;dr: Use less colours for such a tiny style, but put more detail. Old man Zora should be more slouched, have a bigger mustache and the cane should be shorter and holding him up, the fin shouldn't be visible.

Tbh, I'm really trying to use fewer colors than I should, but sometimes it's unavoidable. As for the colors themselves, could you provide an example on how to make them less "generic"? I see where you're somewhat going, but I'm not entirely sure. The next one confuses me. Is Old Man Zora the only one, or are all of the characters like that? For Link, Din, and Nayru, I've based them off concept artwork, so there's honesltly not much I can help you with there.

I appreciate the feedback and critique. I'll see if I can put a few of these into effect, mainly the colors. No promises though.
Here. I've added on less "generic" colors to the palette. I hope this helps...

I don't think there's really any problem with the colors here's what I made I try'd to edit your sprite but I end up completely starting over with the outline, but I kept the colours just I added a few lighter shades.

Its not the best but its better you might need to work on it more though. I'll probably work on the old man zora, but not right now cause I'm sleepy.

These are pretty terrible. Honestly, find a new style or just start over, not liking these one bit. They don't even remotely resemble the artwork or original sprites. Some animations are pretty shoddy and the AA is all over the place in some poses. The color choice is awful as well, needs a big kick in the saturation department. Also, those sprites definitely have to be a tad smaller, it won't work if your tiles are going to match them as well.

Whatever it doesn't have to fit your wants, and needs, your not going to be around when there actually being used so don't worry about, and I happen to like most of the sprites here even though there not perfect aslong as the sprites are being created, and it makes sense what their intentions was its enjoyable to look at.
Why don't you fix a sprite here, and show us what the hell your talking about instead of just talk.
When you make big paragraphs like that you need to say something positive to add up for all the negaive shit you've said so it doesn't hurt somebody's feelings.
