I just wanted to get some crit on my sprite of Coo here.

It's actually not too bad, but it looks like you could cut down the number of gray shades. The eyes and stomach would probably look better if they were rounded out more, as well.

Far better than what you did before.
However, I don't like the "spikes" on the top of his head: they look like they're on the same level, whereas you could lower the last spike and tilt the first one slightly forwards.
Ok, I'll try all that. Expect an update soonish.
Here.

Tsr topics really don't get so much reply, do they?
Anyways, can I get some crit on my new sprite? I changed it to a better style, and did some tuning up.

It looks good. I can't see anything wrong with it.
is this your own coo or something? i remember coo was purple and had more than 3 spikes on its head.

Well, I'm pretty sure that he only has three spikes [i]from this view[i], though maybe I should add the tips of 2 more in the back, to show the five that he'll have total. I don't remember him being purple, though actaully there is a little hint or purple in the grey I used.
But yes, in this project, the characters are not going to be exactly the same, and they will have many different abilities (yes, this is going to be a project, with LOADS of Kirby characters, and will eventually be made into a game). By the way, I've also been working on a new Pitch to match the style. And here's my old pitch, before I change styles, using a fire move:

I recall Coo being purple in the artwork, however he is gray in the Kirby's Dream Land 3 sprite. I think that the wing looks too jagged where the grays meet the black. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Coo is sometimes shown as being purplish, other times he's grey
I'd personally give him more of a purple tint (04-10-2009, 09:51 AM)Phantom K Wrote: Coo is sometimes shown as being purplish, other times he's greyWell, this project is going to change around some stuff, so I've chosen to make him a bit more realistic, and stick with gray, but yeah, I'll make the purple tint more visible. I added a touch more of purple (though really it looks like indigo) to the gray's, I fixed wing, and fixed tail. |
