Although, one idea is if an automatic PM was sent to new members titled something like "Welcome to the forums!" that tells them a bit about tSR and links to the rules. That's a good idea...

Great idea, it's got my vote.

That's a great idea. Then the members would automatically be familiar with the rules. Although, this will only work with members who allow PM's to be recieved.

Yeah, but PM's are automatically enabled by default, so they wouldn't be able to be disabled before they get this message, since this would be sent pretty much instantaneously.

Oh, That's right.
I would suggest putting the "switch to full version" link back on the mobile version of the site. It's hard trying to switch to other themes once on the mobile ver. Try it yourself.

Honestly, the search engine can be improved. It's very..crappy at the moment.
For example, if I type in "Super mario bros.", anything with "super", "mario" or "bros." shows up, and I have to scroll quite a ways down to find what I'm looking for. Maybe an "Advanced Search" option? It would have a console option, various keyword options (Like "Search for exact wording" or something like that), etc..
The new search system will accept all of the common search modifiers (quotes for exact phrases, plus and minus for must and must not include respectively, and some others I can't think of right now). Advanced search won't likely be necessary as results will be separated by category though I'm open to suggestions if you think that system can be improved further.

Adding quotes for an exact match already works.

Can I suggest that we could make our avatars slightly larger, in terms of file size and resolution?

I would like this too but it would stretch things out too much.

Hmm... How about we stretch the WHOLE site to a slightly wider resolution?

... I'm not going to even acknowledge that with an answer.
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you
