For instance, you can see Dazz's submitter profile for tSR here. This should give you what you're looking for.
Does every user get a biggest contributions list? and also how do I view other
users submitter profile? I'm still getting the hang of navigating this website.
Yes, that list will appear for all users (except for those who haven't submitted anything). You can find links to other profile pages via the user profiles on the forum (if they decided to include them) or by clicking on a submitter's name in the information that appears below every sheet (or model, texture, or sound).
would it be possible to implement a setting for each forum that allows users to set a forum as permantently read? there are forums on this board that i never look at and at least one that i don't like being reminded exists

Well, I mean
if you never look at them anyway you can just
not click on them, uh
I'm not really sure how it's that big of an issue?
I don't know, I kind of get why this might be wanted but it's not possible regardless so unfortunately, simply ignoring forums you don't care to follow is your only option.
Actually a little TIL I figured out the other day:
If you just click the dot (you know, the one that lights up when there's new topics to read - this one) it'll mark the forum as read without you even having to click into the forum and marking it.
It even works on the tiny dots in front of the subforums on the forum index.
It blew my mind when I did it first - I feel like this tip should be like, advertised in tooltips or something, lol.
Now if only we had a roleplaying forum or something so I could exercise this function all the time...
I knew about that since 2008 gosh where have you been?

I was gonna tell CBL to click them but I figured it was so obvious it would have been seen as insulting
Sorry kosheh...
I also agree that Kosheh is silly.

What's silly is the moderation team (including an administrator) has to take a condescending tone with a regular user over something that isn't even obvious in the first place (Vipershark not so much). It honestly bothers me that you, an administrator, someone who posters look up to, posted just to take a cheap shot at me without contributing to the discussion. Where was the basis of your post even implied? No one even called me silly, so who exactly are you agreeing with? A fictional poster?
I was just helping a fellow poster out with some advice that I thought would benefit him, as he seemed genuinely bothered by a part of the forum and I contributed with what I thought was the best advice at the time that I could give. Sorry for getting my panties in a bunch over some posts on the Internet - but I didn't expect this kind of response (haughty ones, at that) from the moderation team at all.
Don't mean to add fuel to the fire, but I'm just gonna drop in here and say something. Also without bias, I should note.
I don't know about Kosheh, but if that were said to me without context, I'd be a little hurt and upset.
Not that it's any of my business what goes on between you two, but I feel as though he should be cut some slack, especially since I've noticed an improvement in his posting and overall helpfulness.
In fact, I hate to be that guy, but that seems like the type of posts you wouldn't want us making, too. :/
Just throwin' in my cents.

Lets move on.
"We actually do store a download count for anyone who actually uses the "Download this Sheet/Model/Texture/Sound" link, though that isn't currently displayed anywhere."
I'm quoting petie here. can we have the number of downloads displayed?
I really want to see how much people are downloading my sounds.
Possibly. When that was implemented, it was more an experiment than anything else. I can't entirely vouch for it's accuracy since I have no way of tracking right click > save as downloads - only those that use the download link. I'll have to do a little digging to make sure bots aren't crawling that link and artificially inflating the numbers but if all is well, I suppose we can show it.

I have another suggestion regarding the sounds resource. I personally think the site
needs a new phrase to describe submissions in the sounds resource, like say sound packs
or zip files. for example the game Metroid Fusion says it has 3 sounds submitted, this makes
no sense because no one actually submits individual sounds but rather sets of sounds.
So I vote the Phrase should be changed to sound sets or sound packs.
