Classic Megaman games are the only ones worth playing for more than 5 minutes
Megaman X 1-3 (in other words all the SNES titles) are also worth playing. Anything beyond that is just terrible.
Megaman Zero was enjoyable though, but not nearly on the same level as Classic.

Yo, X4 is the best of the X series, X1 second. X2 and X3 are bland and forgettable to me.
The X and Zero series are the best, though~

Mega Man & Bass.
There actually is a difficulty option. Hard Mode is Mega Man, Easy Mode is Bass.
Ground Man's music was fucking tops.
I loved X1-6, and X8. X7 completely fucked the series over, which made people lose hope in X8.
Hope X9 comes to fruition soon.

Z4 (from what I've heard, its the only one I haven't played) is the best of the zero series.

imo Megaman 2 and 3 aren't just the best Megaman games, just some of the best games of all time.
Also, isn't there a space between Megaman? Like this: Mega Man. Lookitup.

Megaman actually has an easier time with his first boss as he can charge and take much hp at once. Bass makes stages easier as he can dash, double jump and Treble boost, but has more trouble with bosses as he fires one shot and they go blinky-invincible.
And Astroman's stage is a bitch when you play as him. >.>
My favorite would always be MM1, regardless.

IMO MMBN wasn't really bad. It was pretty innovative and entertaining and BN2 was definitely the pinnacle, they just milked it for more than its worth.
