(Sorry if this is in the wrong forum)
All right... these are my first sprites that aren't recolors.
Row 1: Wing, Metal, and Vanish Cap Blocks.
Row 2: Retro ? Block, Modern ? Block, Flip Block
Tell me what can be improved, but don't flame.
Still thinking of a new name.

work on colors. That yellow is especially nasty, Too much saturation.
Also work on hue shifting. Instead of just shading yellow with a darker yellow, shade it with an orange or a green or something.

I'd say if you want to improve, give yourself a subject that'll force you TO improve. Anybody can make blocks and give them little faces/question mark. Now if you say went and tried something like trying to make trees and houses, while the subject matter is still simple and common, it's a better step forward then small squares, right?
The object of criticism is to improve, but how can we improve without making mistakes. You make more mistakes in larger more complicated pieces then taking baby steps.
Enough of my ranting however, the sprites are adequate and do need hue-shifting.

Thanks for your advice.
I'll work on them some more.
