...Were these ripped from a ROM's internal data or sliced out of screenshots..?
It looks like you sliced them out of screenshots, thus the inconsistency of the quality and sharpness of the sprites. Also, Lakitu is .jpg'd, don't upload .bmp files to photobucket.

I ripped them from a ROM.

No that's exactly what these sprites look like when you're are playing MK64 through an emulator. These definitely weren't extracted straight from the ROM. You can't screenshot rip N64 sprites, but you can just set texture dumping on through your graphics plugin and rip them that way.

The N64 (and really, any console after that which utilised 3D) renders sprites in a way that you can't just take a screenshot and expect it to be clean. This means you'll need to use a texture-ripping program to get the sprites. The process is pretty long and complicated, too.
http://www.spriters-resource.com/communi...p?tid=3780 You can look and ask here for additional advice as to how to go about this. So as for those sheets, they both lack a lot of sprites, and are unusable in their current state. Can't be accepted I'm afraid. |
