Anyway: The light source seems odd - normally you'd expect it to be in front of Kirby, possibly above him, rather than being behind and below him.

Unless you're specifically aiming for a primitive style, I'd say you need to fix up the sprite, in terms of some anti-aliasing, perhaps removing the solid black outline (depending on the style), and creating some more frames for things like his walking animation.
