super mario galaxy (mushroom ship)

I'm making the mushroom ship from super mario galaxy
and wondering if there needs to be any changes before I make animation effects

(it also includes the toads)

(I also want to keep it around the same size for later sprites that I'm making)

any Ideas?

The tops are not big enough and before you animate it, show us the ship and we'll tell you if it's good enough.
