Poor Sonic Edits into shadow (Help and Critz needed)

Okay so I tried to edit some sonic sprites into Shadow ones and it's kinda gone BLARGHHHHHH, I have no idea why it looks like ass on the eyes and i can't get them to looks the same PLUS i have no idea were to start with the rest of the quils as you can see when i already tried but failed.

thats because, thanks to the sonic teams ingenious designs, almost every character looks exactly like sonic with little tweaks

Protip: Make sure the individual sprite doesn't suck before going and making more - that way you don't waste your time.

probably because saying that the ingenous desing of sonic team makes every character in sonic games look like an edited version of sonic has nothing to do with this thread, or has barely anything to do with anything in particular.

also did you just copy paste shadows head onto some of those because it looks really off in some places

The same expresion in sonic's face is NOT the same in Shadow's.

there's already a shadow sprite in that particular "style". and its the official one. so editing a sonic sprite to recreate a sprite that already exists and its already better than any edit of a sonic sprite(even when its like the comparision between ken and ryu) is, at most, redundant.
