I second that notion.
Oh and Sonic should be classic Sonic. Give him shorter spikes, a different shade of blue and make him voiced by Steve Urkel. Problem solved!
That or give him the gear from Sonic Riders or the stupid glove armor thingy from Black Knight. Both are such wonderful representation of Sonic is his purist of all gaming forms, after all.

@ Black Boo: Scourge wouldn't work like tonberry said we are trying to make them different costumes nothing like another character I turly don't know what to do yet!

Well, your costumes are rather undertoned, while Scourge is a more cosmetic change.
I'm quoting Sonic's first reaction
"What? Some fur dye and a new jacket and you think you're so tough?"

I forgot Steve Urkel voiced him in the orginal Sonic cartoon series! Up, Over and Gone!
@ Black Boo:That's the thing we are trying to give characters a costume change not a skin color change.

Jiggs should have a Clefairy costume. I know its a different character, but in the games Clefairy can learn Rollout, Sing, Rest, and Pound. Both are similar in size, shape, and overall design (small pink round body, stubby legs, stubby arms, small pointed ears, a curled lump of "hair" on the forehead).
But the announcer would still call it Jigglypuff. I'd rather do something else. She's going to be tough to decide on.

Well I was gonna say she has her Microphone like in the anime and a lighter palette like in the anime could that work?
But then if she picks up an item she'll have two.

But when Link picks up an item he puts his sword away so Jiggly will put microphone away but if it's not a good idea then it's not a good idea it was just a suggestion.

DK could be classic DK (Without the Tie or Hair Tuft) Or he could have boxing gloves and cel-shading like in Punch-Out.

I also suggested the crown wearing DK from the Wii remake of Jungle Beat. You see after you beat the game you can play as DK with a crown on his head.

Even though there's the no different charcters rule I still find it hard to imagine an alternate costume for him that isn't Funky Kong..
But I kinda like the idea of tieless donkey kong without the tuft and with his squarer grump face.

Are you even listening? HE GETS A JACKET AND BOOTS, SUNGLASSES, AND A SCAR ON HIS CHEST.
No Scourge.
He's got nothing to do with the actual game series.

You're one to talk about not listening, dude.
