Well, since I got slightly more feedback suggesting I go for TMNT sprites (I also post on Sprites Database), I decided to rip the bosses from TMNT 3. I have all but the Mother Mouser, Krang, and the final boss ripped, but none of the sheets are organized yet. That'll happen sometime tomorrow, and I'll have the last three ripped and organized by then too.
Then I think I'll move on to Totally Rad bosses and the main character, then the same for Vice, and then after that move BACK to TMNT to rip the regular enemies and the turtles themselves. The reason I'd put THAT off is I have to, essentially, go through the entire game, get to every enemy encounter, rip each enemy type as well as all possible Turtle reactions to them. Luckily, I believe that all the unique animations for getting hit are shared between each turtle, so they've got that much going for them. to make it easier on me when that time comes. xD

Not really surprised XD
I remember some ads at games magazines around here featuring Street Fighter 2010. I saw that art and "No way it's related to the REAL Street Fighter. Looks crappy" XP I was surprised to see somebody bringing this game up

Definitely digging your rips so far.
Great work on Little Samson in particular, you've certainly done justice for that unsung NES classic

Well, I had a few delays from being extra tired from work this week, but here they are, the 5 big bosses from Totally Rad. There are still all the minibosses to do, as well as the enemies and the main character (who has 4 forms no less), but these are a decent enough start.
I never owned the game back in the day, but I had seen its awesome boss sprites in Nintendo Power, and Edogy became one of my top ten favorite NES boss designs. Granted, he's not my favorite in terms of battle programing, but he's an interesting enough obligitory villain-in-a-helmet to me. Also note that the instruction manual, which I looked up for the names, is one of the silliest manuals I've ever read. Thanked by: Ultimecia

I just realized how much the main character looks like Kid Radd.

Well it's been a while since I've uploaded, but I DO have a lot to show for it. Three full sheets of bosses and minibosses to be exact. Anyway, I'll make this brief because I do have to get going, expect some more stuff later!
Today, I've got the minibosses from Totally Rad, the bosses from Dragon Spirit, and the bosses of Vice. Enjoy their obscure goodness! Thanked by: Ultimecia

Man, I missed you and your rips
This Dragon Spirit game icon reminds me of Castlevania Dracula X's Gaibon :p Thanked by: TomGuycott

Here's the hero from VICE, Detective Quinn Hart!
VICE is a Ninja Gaiden clone, minus the ability to cling to walls freely. He has a laser whip for some reason, and he also sports a gun with remarkably short range, and a grenade that can hit enemies twice in a row with the same explosion, which is useful against bosses that are difficult to get close to with the whip or the gun. Jake from Totally Rad is next, but he might be a bit considering, like Big Bang from Clash at Demonhead, has multiple forms. |
