I drew the top image of Venusaur as a doodle. I then pixel-traced over it and started working on it.
Now, most of the lineart is super rough, but I'm fixing it as I go. I decided to start with the head, and I like it so far.
C+C is appreciated please!

Head is awfully disproportional, though the shading is nice so far.

The body shape is wrong. His stomach area should be lower to the ground. The tail should be shorter and maybe make the whole body wider. The flower petals should be spread out all around, not 3 on one side and 3 on the other. The head should be MUCH wider and probably should be lower, too.

Thank you for all the advice, working at it. This is why I posted now instead of later.
It felt weird making the head any bigger, but I'll try to make it work. The wider, lower body I can do. My ref didn't show the tail, so I guessed there, no problem changing that. On the petals though, I even just rechecked a bunch of refs, and the petal do NOT go all the way around, just three on each side.
But thank you so much Wes, that's really helpful(oh, and thank you Metaru & Furs & Alcala as well!).
Back in a bit with a new edit!

The volume isn't well conveyed, I think it's due to the light blobs on the right, they don't have the right shape and size, and something about the way the side of the face is shaded troubles me. Waiting for progress...
