Looking pretty cool. I can't wait to see your other sprites. Hopefully one day you'll get your project up and running. I know how frustrating it can be to not complete a project. I've been working on something for the past 10 years now and it's just starting to get off the ground. Maybe one day we'll both see our works complete.

Which one is the better Ness?
All three are pretty good, personally, I'm a split descision between 1 and 3.
1 - Ness has pretty big shoulders and cap flap. I like the position of the face. 2 - In relation to Mario, Ness does appear shorter then the other Ness'. Ness is shorter then Mario, but not quite that short. 3 - Really good in general, the face just needs to be tilted upward. When comparing the facials between Ness and the characters in the signature (Mario, Capt. Falcon, Yoshi, etc), Ness' face seems to be facing more downward. The eyes and hat could be tilted upward to relieve this effect. My favorite Ness would probably be option 3 (With option 1 eyes).

some side idles, i still don't know how i feel about these... EDIT: Gave hm a tummy bump i think it looks a bit better now what say you guys?
-The backpack strap from the fronal Ness in the most recent picture seems to have been editted, making it less apparent. The arms now seem to partially meld with the yellow in Ness' shirt, making the chest/arm outline a little more confusing. I like it more the old way.
(I like the backpack strap, more then the newest version) -Ness' arms on the Side Idle seem a little too far back, almost as he could touching his backpack with his elbows. A more relaxed arm pose, by straightning out the arm and moving it forward (so it rests on his side) could make it seem more natural. -I like the tummy bump, it gives Ness a sense of weight. He looks better this way, then before without it (appears less flat). Other then these observations, quite good. I like the effect of Ness' cap flap being more visible only to one side pose, making it seem he is rather rotated instead of mirrored. Well done.

Very nice job!
DK and Luigi are awesome! Well, you're making like the first serie right? No Melee or Brawl... Well, still nice, I love the first one!

I've have only periodic access to the internet, if my router feels like working (It's like 50/50), so there could be delays where I can say something.
About Ness> On the back pose, if Ness is moving his shoulders back and forth from the walk cycle (He's twisting his body slightly side to side to walk), I believe the packback could move likewise left and right. On the side walking animation, those are pretty well done based on observations. The arms still seem to meld with the yellow colors in the shirt on a few frames. Other then these two, I think they're pretty good. About the Pikachu, I like the look of old generation (except the forward animation), and I very much look forward to seeing them. |
