That's cool, and so is the L2/R2 button inclusions, but with the analog stick to the right of the buttons, it still looks stupid to use.

Why does it matter if it looks "stupid" to use? I'm not playing a 3ds in the first place to attract my girlfriend to me even more.
And if you mean unusable, I'll heartily disagree.
EDIT: Also, the psp's analog stick is under the directional pad, but never hear anyone gripe about that.

This statement is pretty moronic since these games I have mentioned have been in development before the 3ds even came out.

Flannel pretty much mentioned a bunch of other points so I've got nothing else to add.

Because an add-on that comes out this soon after launch wasn't planned from the start.

Right.

Totally invalidates what he was saying, and its been said to be optional, TOTALLY FORCED UPON THE USER.
EDIT: Not trying to get feisty, but this is getting a little ridiculous.

Right.

No shit Sherlock, after all nintendo would have announced this right after it came out like they did with motion plus.

Come on, if nintendo knew the console was going to be a success then they would have waited awhile before they announced it. that isn't the case here.

Nintendo is desperate right now, that's really the only reason why they would release this right now.

Let me tell you something while I am at it, if you're going to make comments without actually knowing the facts about the console itself and what situation it's in, you have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm done, this is the same shit over and over in here.
Well when it comes out, I guess I'll enjoy it while everyone continues to shit on it.

The PSP's analog stick is bad, period.

And I don't mean "unusable," I mean "unintuitive." It looks like it will ultimately make control overly frustrating.

The idea itself is still stupid. The 3DS doesn't need a second analog stick attachment. There's a touch screen. If this was such an important feature, it should have been in the console from the start.

You can like it as much as you want, opinions are opinions! Nobody is saying you have to hate it. But it's pretty clear that people dislike this for reasons of their own, and for the most part, those reasons are fair.

Developers are mad about this, too, so it's not just angry Nintendo haters that are upset about this announcement.

People will cool off soon, but they are still warranted to be dissatisfied with it.

No, what the fuck are you talkign about. If the add-on comes this early, it was planned from the start. If it was planned from the start, it could very much be a part of the games you mentioned above, and then called me a moron for suggesting that the add-on would be used in them.

Seriously, you have no fucking idea what you're saying. You're back tracking with insults, and not really doing much of anything but proving how much of a dick you are.

Then what the fuck is to say that the game won't use the add-on that was in development right along side them? Holy shit. Get off your goddam pedestal you pretentious fuck.

You both do. Both of you should chill out.
(god dammit yes I'm back shut up)
To tyvon, I know you don't mean it this way, but the way you worded that it comes off as though its not warranted to like this, rather that those who don't are in the right, but like I said I know you didn't mean that at all. Tongue

Kriven, your insistence that this had to have been planned from the start just because it's being released early is rather misguided. While it is possible, it seems more like Nintendo is just in panic mode right now, and maybe they're making this so they can get Monster Hunter or something

Even if it wasn't planned from the start, it shows that they KNOW how key having those parts of the controls are. Even if it wasn't planned from the start, it feels like they're trying to sell something that should have shipped as a part of the handheld. What's more, by their logic people will get fed up with the clunky attachment and buy the new 3ds with it built in. Everyone one knows that's probably whats going to happen to.

I realize they're a business and technically they have every right to do whatever the hell they want. I really can't agree with this though. At least with things like the motion sensing units for the PS3 and Xbox they aren't cumbersome add-ons which would actually add to the average game.

Dual analog on the other hand is FAR more integral to the core of many games and the initial lack of it was actually one of the reasons I DIDN'T want a 3ds. Especially when the Vita had all of this and more from the start aside from the flip up dual screens, which I could really live without in the first place.

I really want to hold out for a 3DS where this attachment becomes standard, but integrated in a better position than it currently is. Then again if the attachment is just ten dollars or something it'd be no real problem, but I'm confident it'll be more.

It really doesn't look that clunky to me..
To me it looks like a handheld controller.

the one thing that i'd like clarification on

there appear to be complaints about people having to take their thumb off the buttons to use the second stick???
isn't that how literally every dual-stick controller ever is
