Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Modes Rips (Golden Country Stuff Added)
#91
Hi, just came to ask if there are any plans for ripping Dromarch? I'm working on a cool render project for Nia but I wanted to include Dromarch as well, and I can't progress any further without him. Nia's pose and materials are pretty much all set up.

I haven't really done any model ripping before but if nobody else is planning to rip him then I'd also be willing to learn how.

Fantastic work so far by the way. The Nia model you provided has been working like a charm! Smile

Much praise to the models made!!  Wink
If it's not much to ask for, would it be possible for Percival to be up for consideration?

Rejoice. PredatorCZ from Zentax forum made a public tool (as of May 06) for not only XC2 but XCX as well. It uses 3DS Max 2017 as its base point as it is a maxscript (sorry for those who use blender). I worked with him the past 2 days to fix the obvious issues of UV's Rigigng and Morph problems which was present in Ploaj's tool.

Now though you need not rely on me to get you out your specific model of choice. All you need is a decrypted dump "all the way down to the .arc's and .wismt" and your good to go. I don't reocmmend fiddlign with the dump's file hierarchy as it does require to look through a big stream data for textures that are cached. This resulted in missing textures in some of the files I even worked on like Tora and Rex. (updated them to have textures though)

Tool itself is not perfect but its pretty damn useful, even doing my own job of fixing up rigging (now) and Adding in Morphs/Shape keys automatically (im useless now :'( ). If you do have problems feel free to let me know, I'll do my best to figure out what is wrong. I use a student license of 2018 3DS Max no trial versions. If its a more specific issue, i'll pass it to PredatorCZ.

This tool is all thanks to PredatorCZ.

I will still continue to update this forum until all models is complete, though I am changing up how I do things. Rather than spending hours making a render now that the tool works pretty cleanly I'm just gonna push out a model whenever I can. For those who can't find dumps, or cant use 3DS Max but still wish to play with the models. Still need to come up with some sort of graphic though so I can make my forum look cool.

I got this myself, but I think Darkumbra has a rom you can download.

DarkUmbra is where I got the files

I would help release more models now this tool is out, but it seems my ISP blocked DarkUmbra and I don't think I could rip the files myself.

Anyway, it's great that the tool is public now.

Quick question

How did you make the moving eyes/eye tracking for Pyra. I am hoping to do that for Nia

I had trouble with blender recently causing me to lose progress on 5 models cuz of blenders confusing UI and layout. Thankfully PredatorCZ since fixed the problem which made me rely on blender to begin with, so I went right back to work. This was supposed to be a Zeke and Pandora weekend but they where one of the people I need to re-do now... So yay.

Kosmos and T-elos should be nice replacements no?

I decided to forgo rendering as it takes far to much time to do and since the public tool is out, its not like many people will have their eye on me anyways. It gives me a chance to relax more. I came up with this card design (which works with my deviant-art image) in hopes for this to be a nice template. I hope people like it.

Because I plan to update them in the future. Rigging on some could be improved where I had to do custom ones before, and textures can also be improved too with a lossless DDS. I'll make updates whenever I update an already released character by using the new style I developed.

Almighty Turters and Pandoria are out now, 2 day late of course. Sorry about that. Its almost the end of Sunday too, had to spend time with the Ma of my family so. Oh yeah Zeke is also out as well. I mean at least for those still waiting on me.

This marks the complete permanent cast! Other than 1 who does join but ends up leaving. Now I'm going to redo the others I already did so they have the proper textures and models before working on new models. It shouldn't take to long

Poppi Buster and MK2 poppi, with Poppi herself receiving an update too. The update mostly consists of double the resolution textures so that might be useful.

MK2 poppi is pretty much Poppi but with an antenna. I found her to seem rushed and unsure if it was a legitimate stylistic choice, as it was never explained in cutscenes, I opted to fix them. Its mostly blues in her golden hair and litterally painted on black which doesn't cover the whole metals. Just use the textures outside of "Edited" if you don't wish to use them, as well as deleting the cape, mantle and cape mantle band.
