So I want to rip models from Donkey Kong Country Returns, a game made in the Metroid Prime engine. Is there a known way to do this?
(What I'm trying to rip is .pak, a (likely) proprietary format made by Retro Studios)
Mining for a craft
Not the game. Not the game.
We are mining out the mountains for resources like asbestos. Deliciou.

Well, it depends on the .pak file. There are different versions of .pak. A easy way to get the models is to use ninja riper and rip a scree capture of the models that you want. Assuming the game is on wiiu or switch I'm fairly sure you could dump the rmfs folders to get the models which the switch toolbox tool can read the models and export the models as fbx or obj.

I haven't looked into the metroid prime games. But, the gamecube assets should be very easy to extract using dolphin and ninja riper v1.72 (on game bananna) or the paid 2.10.0 (which was the paid version that works with sketchfab. I think there was updates so there might be a v2.20.0 build for all I know.)

Are you trying to rip samus or which model?
