Organizing TUGS - Chris2Balls [:B] - 06-06-2011
Hey there, spriters!
We've now reached June and I was thinking of starting to organize the TUGS spriting tournament.
TUGS is a spriting/ pixel art tournament that was held since the days of Pixeltendo. First of all, a preliminary round helps the jury panel determine who goes in which category: beginner, intermediate or advanced. The actual tournament is organized in duels per category.
There are terms per round and per category. The winners in each category will not face each other at the end, they are only the winners of their category.
This thread's purpose is firstly to know when we can hold this tournament, and then who is available. I'm doing this early so I can get a date early, but also so I can allow some time for the people that I plan on inviting from other communities to reply... which is something that bellyflopped last year.
If there's anything else you want to share, like ideas, criticism regarding the last TUGS... let us know!
The deadline for signing up for this event will be on Thusday, June 30th.
TUGS will start on Saturday, July 23rd, and end on Wednesday, August 10th.

I graduate Friday but I'm such a slow and inexperienced spriter agghh! I'll probably decide to do it, I just hope that I'm able to perservere

I'll be joining. I'm only on vacation the week of the 4th of July, after that I'm just working, which leaves a bit of time for pixel fun (which I barely do, but I love to try it when I can).
