PixelTunes: A Community Spriting Project Idea - Sengir - 04-07-2012

So I'm kind of obsessive over music organization, always having to get the highest-resolution album artwork and give each song a composer tag and everything.

But then I got a year of Spotify and though it is a very nice system its ugly album art and even worse metadata errors have been killing me (also the playlist system is ugly and I just have each album a playlist.

So I thought I'd make an app using the Spotify API. In theory it grabs your playlists, corrects the metadata and displays a better album art. Then somehow the idea grew into a sort-of Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis-style Spotify player. So now I'm spriting a bunch of my favorite albums (Bob Dylan, of course) with Gors' tFR palette. I plan on doing my favorite albums, but anyone can join in and make their own favorites.

Rules
1. Keep the album 64x64
2. Don't draw the text unless it really matters, like the beatles' famous white album (which was plain white with some small text)
3. Try keeping the color-count low. There is no limit though.
