but i never said how many developed characters in clock town, i just said they were there...

also the soldiers in clock town are about on par with your average skyloft citizen. even their reactions change on the night of the third day, which gives them more depth than none. same with the carpenters, some of them evacuate while the leader stands there denying the fact that the moon is about to fall, it's at least passingly interesting

the store owners in skyloft are ok, they're kind of assholes since they get pissed when you don't buy anything though

point is clock town had something going on in it that every npc in the town reacted to, skyloft has nothing going on so the characters are just kind of there asking you to do fetch quests for them

I can't say for sure that Skyloft doesn't get any more interesting later on, but at least through the first few dungeons very little or nothing is going on there.

I will give Skyward Sword this: It's the only Zelda game to make me look like a fool in a good way.

Making Skulltulas spin in circles hopelessly trying to strike that small as hell weak spot... oh man, no words. Sad

Not hard, jab the controller forward like you are stabbing them, you will generally hit the weakspot.

Honestly it's easier just to use the beetle to cut the web and flip the Skulltula. Still, for one of the first enemies that's an awful lot just to hit it.

Not really, it only takes two motions with the sword, if they are on a web, then generally only one for the most part if you can get behind them. It takes 3 swings to kill those red things with the sword that were bothering the kikwis or whatever those things are called.

I finished the first dungeon. I'm currently in the middle of trying to work to the second major area on the ground. I'm about seven hours in. I'm that slow.

I need that Iron Shield from Skyloft's Bazaar, but I don't have enough money. I need to get 100 Rupees fast or it's going to be even longer before I can continue on. <.<

Beat the game, loved it. Only issue is that the final boss felt rushed an unfinished imo.

Already? See I'm taking my time and spreading it out. Playing it in bits and pieces, that way the game seems longer and more tantalizing each time I start it up.

Besides, I can't afford to spend 75 bucks for only one week of gaming.

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Chaoxys - 11-26-2011

Honestly, it took me 5 days to beat it which is about 3-4 more than most games. Either way I loved it, mainly because I didn't spoil anything in it like I usually end up doing.

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Koopaul - 11-26-2011

Aw I can't believe you'd playthrough an entire game in two days. That's like shoving a pie down your throat without even tasting it.

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Azure-Tranquility - 11-26-2011

Yeah I'm going through this Zelda more slowly than I did for the others. Not just to make it last longer but because I'm not a fan of the controls.

I don't do it to speed through the games, it's just that if it has a good story, I lose track of time and tend to play through rather large chunks in a single day. Keep in mind I'm still doing sidequests and what not in the proses.

Heck, I nearly completed SS by the time I beat it (I was missing a couple of Goddess Cubes). Aside from that I had beaten all the sidequests, gotten all the upgrades, ect.

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Kitsu - 11-27-2011

Beat the main game.

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Gwen - 11-27-2011

But Ganondorf has no point to be in this game..?

RE: Dawn of a New Day (SkywardSword General) - Helmo - 11-27-2011

I personally like it when they don't use the same final boss over and over.

I mean who dosen't like bosses like Wario or Majora?
