I'm not supporting Toon Zelda, but Toon Ganon. Who's attack patterns and general style contrast to the OoT/TP Ganondorf shown already in Smash Bros. In fact, I'd prefer the already existing Ganondorf to be replaced by Toon Ganon, gaining a unique set of moves.

Krystal is a pointless addition. While she's been in every Star Fox game since releace, her importance is iffy. Besides giving FOX the main weapon of the journey, she played the role of Damsel in Distress. During Assault, she was no more as important as Falco and Slippy, serving a role as support. In Command, while she did take center stage in some endings, there were also endings revolving around Fox and Falco, and even one where Slippy takes center stage. So her role is basically the same as Falco's. But which character has more personality? Falco's cocky, arrogant attitude, or Krystal's sweet innosence? Not to mention the Staff has almost all the same uses of Fox's Special attacks already, leaving just a female Wolf.

About Dixie, while I like the character...Like Krystal, K.Rool takes top priority before her. Being a villian in EVERY DKC game and even appearing in Mario Baseball gives the Kremling King a top tier chance of Snagging the third DK franchise spot over her.

Bullshit about Lyn though. Lyndis might've been the first internation Lord, but she's not popular at all with Japanese fans. Because the game has been dumbed down for American Audiences. After painfully playing Binding Blade and then suffering from two Americanized Fire Emblems...the Japanese didn't enjoy the new Fire Emblems. They did, however, enjoy the Tellius Saga.

3rd Parties is the cancer killing Smash Bros. Instead of including Little Mac, Saki, and Samurai Goroh...we get characters from systems us Nintendo die hards haven't played. The newest Sonic game was on 360/PS3, and the Metal Gear franchise only had ports and remakes on Nintendo games. Not to mention Sonic was a horribly rushed character...If they put less time rushing him out the door, and working on Doctor Mario's appearance....Actually, I take the last setance back. Point is. The only other 3rd Party character deserving Smash treatment is Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. With an added bonus that allowed anyone playing as him in SSE would face double the number of enemies who respawn at random.

Fuck I love Ninja Gaiden.

but hey Temco, Capcom...they're pretty much the same.

if you were a nintendo diehard at all you would have played MGS: Ghost Babel on the GBC and MGS: The Twin Snakes on the Gamecube, both of which were critically acclaimed and positively reviewed. especially Ghost Babel.

so snake is PLENTY deserving of smash bros.

edited in: plus anybody that even knows what a video game is has heard of solid snake or played a metal gear solid game, regardless how nintendofag they are

sonic is, as well. sonic and mario have had a long "rivalry" so it makes sense that he's finally able to compete against him (not counting the Olympic Games).

but yes
Ryu Hayabusa would be a PERFECT character

Krystal is Fox's love interest. Besides, I don't think anyone in here said anything about how she should replace Falco, so the whole "who's more important thing" doesn't really get any sort of point across.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Ark Kuvis - 07-28-2008

Yeah we know Tyvon.
You love Metal Gear.

Also Ghost Babel I heard nothing of until I started reading up on the series via wikipedia. My loss I guess? I knew plenty on Twin Snakes. I knew next to nothing about Metal Gear though. Heck, if it wasn't for Brawl, I probably wouldn't of went and played Twin Snakes.

Which BTW, if there's ever another Smash, Revolver Ocelot should appear.

As well as Hayabusa. And Knuckles. >>.

Krystal was who you played as the whole beginning of Star Fox Adventures, a game which Falco was only in the end. I would never want her to replace Falco, because I believe he is more deserving, but Krystal is just as deserving as Wolf.

And I agree, Dixie shouldn't be put ahead of K. Rool, but Dixie has been playable in more Mario sports titles than K. Rool, which you didn't bother to mention. Not to mention she appears alongside DK and Diddy in every current generation Donkey Kong game. And in my honest opinion, I think the DK series is far more deserving of Four representitives than anybody seems to give them credit for. I say add both K. Rool and Dixie. Both would be unique.

And maybe that's true about Lyndis, but I still believe she should have gotten a role. It's too late now and she'll never be more than an assist, but I still wanted her.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Ark Kuvis - 07-28-2008

I didn't bother to mention the Mario sports titles because...

Waluigi would be a playable character if they ment anything. As would Birdo.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Alpha Six - 07-28-2008

hey now, my immense lust for the metal gear series has nothing to do with this

No, the cancer that has been killing the Smash Bros Series were the tourny sires that kept on using tiers to there advantage, in fact, they should just ban the use of tiers entirely.

But anyways, I storngly disagree with this, mainly because a lot of people were expecting it would happen, Sure it's true that Sonic was rushed to an extent and was overpowered (What I meant from that was that he had the ability to swim when he shouldn't, and the ability too use attacks after the Special recover), but a lot people expected him. Snake, Obviously was put in at Kojima's reqeust, and was actually one of the good characters. And if there was any deserving 3rdPC (Third Party Character) that was deserving to be in Brawl more then anyone it would be Megaman, because he was the one that made an influence to Nintendo, as a 3rdPC.

Also the reason why Dr. Mario, Mewtwo and Roy, as with the other Forbidden 7 characters were cut was because of time constraints, if there was a third delay to get those characters in people, especially those who were waiting for Brawl, would be Bitching like crazy, because it would probably take 2-6 months to get them all in. Would you realize the havoc people would be dealing with?

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Clutch - 07-28-2008

Actually, I'd imagine those characters were dropped pretty early on rather than being too late to add.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - DioShiba - 07-28-2008

Clutch Wrote:Actually, I'd imagine those characters were dropped pretty early on rather than being too late to add.

Mewtwo And Roy were the two to be near complete, Which actually means they were working on it from Start of development, and By Time Constraints I mean that Nintendo wanted the game to be released way earlier then Sakurai expected, thats were he got more focused on SSE than the characters, and by the time the SSE was complete they wouldn't have time to finish the forbidden 7, even if they wanted too. Now do you get where I am coming from?

King K.Rool would be an awesome character. He'd use a lot of attacks using all his three alter egos Big Grin

also, Skapon and Lip.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Ark Kuvis - 07-28-2008

Ignore that.

RE: Who should've been on Brawl? - Clutch - 07-28-2008

If it meant the HIDEO screen coming up to interrupt a fight, I'd be for it.

Also, I wouldn't rely too much on what happens to DK characters in the Mario Sports games to form an opinion...they're Mario Sports games. Character choice might not rely on notability in the DK series (Heck, Funky's in Mario Kart Wii).

K. Rool may not make as much sense in team sports games as the Kong characters because the Mario cast hasn't really dealt with him enough and he's an archenemy of the Kongs. Even though he's in Sluggers, there's a Side-Quest that helps explain why he'd help the Kongs, and the Kritters probably work well with him.
