RE: Stages/Levels* - ThePortalGuru - 01-10-2011 Really liking the new concept, Iceman! I think grass and that Smash gong in the background there should be most important right now. RE: Stages/Levels* - Iceman404 - 01-10-2011 Yeah, I've always wanted Battlefield to be a more peaceful and traditional looking place. RE: Stages/Levels* - FlyingMonkey - 01-11-2011 ![]() I really like your design Iceman! I've been working on it for a short while and just thought I should upload my progress. But battlefield, until brawl, has always been that deadly place. Dark background, actiony music, it was anything but peaceful. I thought that we would follow that trend instead. But since you have that gate there with the Smash Bros Emblem, I thought that every time someone dies, a Mii/monkey/somebody would hit it to make a bell like noise. And where is Gary's music topic? I think we should revive it since it already has some of the songs of the characters in the first official demo release ( Not engine tests!) RE: Stages/Levels* - ClashX - 01-11-2011 Official Demo? So whens this coming out? Sorry for such a dumb comment but I Really don't know.. RE: Stages/Levels* - Negative-Zer0 - 01-11-2011 (01-11-2011, 05:08 PM)ClashX Wrote: Official Demo? So whens this coming out? I recall Cleod9 never telling you a release date, so why do you think that different rules apply here? RE: Stages/Levels* - ClashX - 01-11-2011 well I thought he may have said around what time like month? RE: Stages/Levels* - Kyleglor - 01-11-2011 On flying monkeys last post its starting to come together. I started to work on the grass where the waterfall would stream over on the field but then this poped in to my my, is the waterfalls gonna be animated? if so should we make the field without it and add it over it leave a place holder or what? RE: Stages/Levels* - FlyingMonkey - 01-11-2011 Without animating the water it destroys the entire concept. So yes, we will have to animate. Or rather you will have to animate. I am horrid when it comes to animations. RE: Stages/Levels* - ClashX - 01-11-2011 Hey you guys don't mind if I use MY Battlefield (Not the new design by Iceman) for a project i'm working on do you? I will put a Special thanks to people at TSR ![]() RE: Stages/Levels* - Iceman404 - 01-11-2011 (01-11-2011, 07:43 PM)ClashX Wrote: Hey you guys don't mind if I use MY Battlefield (Not the new design by Iceman) for a project i'm working on do you? RE: Stages/Levels* - Kyleglor - 01-11-2011 ideas on the water source? i was thinking on the front side a sorta wall of little rocks as a barrier leading the water to the two falls (not the best idea but its the only one i got right now) , but even then the water has to come from somewhere. also ![]() I started to work a little on lines but didnt get to far EDIT: for water source mabey an overflowing well in the front or background of the stage? RE: Stages/Levels* - ClashX - 01-11-2011 OMG itsa Update!!!! ![]() RE: Stages/Levels* - mutantyoshi - 01-11-2011 maybe for the waterfall, ether have a huge water fall in the background, from the top of the screen, or just have the stage come up a little/lower the ground a little, and show water from that (like if the platform was a bridge, without it looking like one...) RE: Stages/Levels* - Iceman404 - 01-12-2011 @ClashX: There you go again ignoring everything we told you not to do before and adding unfitting textures, unfitting pieces, conveying no depth, using too much black, blocking the foreground with un-necessay detail, ect. |
