RE: TSR PokeDex Project - StarSock64 - 10-11-2010 If we go with the platypus we should do something interesting with its tail We could do a kappa even though I guess ludicolo is, but he doesn't look much like one Or we could be dumb and do something like dolphin-garchomp I just checked that desman thing and it has some pretty neat features. Its weird nose thing could shoot out water or something, if I looked at the picture right. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - [robo9] - 10-11-2010 (10-11-2010, 07:24 PM)Koopaul Wrote: And Psyduck is arguably a platypus anyway. It doesnt have a beaver like tail, has ducklike, scaly webbed feet, and it's the duck pokemon. It even has the word duck in its name. I dont see how it could be considered a platypus, sans the claws Looked up what a desman is, thatd be way cooler than a platypus RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 10-11-2010 It has to be a duck, I think the only types of ducks that don't fly are "farm" ducks. anyways... there has to be some animal thats not a fish, yet lives near/in water...also, before anyone says it, I wouldn't go with a frog, they made so many over they years...just my opinion though... RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Ton - 10-11-2010 I'll bite. How is Psyduck in any way a platypus? He has "duck" right in his name. He lacks fur, the tail, the poison barb. He's a duck. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 10-12-2010 How about a mythological creature, that isn't a fish. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 10-12-2010 So far all the water starters have been based on real things, but maybe we could make an exception RE: TSR PokeDex Project - JarJar - 10-12-2010 psyduck is a platypus because of golduck, which has similarities to a platypus and kappa. farfetch'd was the true duck of gen 1, just throwing that out there. anyway good luck on this dex and just add in what makes sense, gen V gave a new route for us, take advantage of it RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 10-12-2010 Perhaps we could take the evolution of cetaceans into consideration. After all, once upon a time dolphins walked on land. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_cetaceans RE: TSR PokeDex Project - mutantyoshi - 10-13-2010 Can't we just make it...float? Swim through the air? After all, it is a video game. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 10-13-2010 That's an idea. I mean, if you look on Pokémon Battle Revolution most of the Water Pokémon float RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Ton - 10-13-2010 3rd form of the ram should look like Pan from Pan's Labyrinth. Just sayin'. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Sengir - 10-13-2010 do we have a final list of what to put up in the poll? RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Poktendo - 10-13-2010 HMMMM... COOL THREAD! I have a bunch but there on my DSi... DARN!!! RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Koopaul - 10-13-2010 (10-13-2010, 10:01 AM)Mister Monday Wrote: That's an idea. The starters were always these Pokemon that could follow you around side by side, my buddy type of thing. Like Dawn's Piplup and Ash's Pikachu. Unfortunately SengirDev I don't think the list is ready. Well... I'm not happy with them. RE: TSR PokeDex Project - Perseus - 10-14-2010 Do you have any ideas then, Koopaul? These are some ideas: Crustacean, maybe a crab or lobster Seal Sea bird, maybe an albatross or puffin Isopod Desman Platypus Cetacean Octopus Walrus Sea Lion Crawfish Starfish Polar Bear (can be considered a marine animal, look it up if you don't believe me) These are all just suggestions |
