RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - The KKM - 04-07-2012 I am feeling the userbase of this forum may actually be much younger than I expected. How come so many people's first contact with the games was Gen 3? I personally like Gen 3's games and pokémons, with some slight indifference- I had Red, I had Yellow, I had Silver, and then years later I had Soul Silver, so my experience with Gen 3 is mostly by dicking in Emulators. Didn't like the overworld sprites though, they all seemed like fat over-tanned midgets. RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - coolfreez - 06-22-2012 I started with gen II, but I do like gen III games. I do however feel that it was these games that departed from the original pokemon designs. They are so much more colorful than those of the previous games. However, I liked how creative they got with the new mechanics, especially the abilities and natures, which added to the meta a bit. RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - recme - 06-24-2012 dude, you should read the dates of threads before you post on them. 2 month old bump. inb4lock. RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - Baegal - 06-25-2012 Well, he did add content to the thread, so I guess it counts as contributing something to the thread? Quote:There are a few exceptions to this however such as some Gaming Discussion threads (videogames you love/hate, what are you playing, etc.) Real Life threads, stickied threads, etc., as long as your post is actually adding something of interest to the topic. If this still carries on, I'd like to add that despite many opinions, I loved gen III, and am still desperately waiting for the RSE remake with BW graphics. RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - Previous - 06-25-2012 Don't see much of a problem here, either, as this is one of the topics were there's always room for discussion. I'd prefer a RSE remake in neat 3D (while keeping the 2D gameplay), would be a nice debut for real Pokémon games on the 3DS. The DS already got too many! Gen 3 was okay. I've had my fun with the games and played them a few times. The secret bases were a nice feature but got lost in the whole there's-noone-to-play-with aspect. I liked the different environment with the really tall grass and the ashes and the tree houses. Diving was kinda cool, too, but incredibly slow-paced. RE: Pokemon Gen 3 - Underrated or Underappreciated? - EvilRaccoon9 - 07-22-2012 For me, Gen 3 was the best. The double Battle was implemented and had this part of the game for years. The contest (which for me was really fun ) has started too. Many Pokemons are unique especially the starters. A chick that has no wings, a green gangster gecko and finally a blue axolotl ( an Axolotl is an amphibian that is closely related to lizards and weirdly starfishes because both of them has the power to regenarate a loss of their body.) They weren't making these ugly looking pokemons yet unlike the Pokemons now. Overall, It's a fun game with loads of surprises and lots of possibilities One of the Best Pokemon Games |
