You're saying it's as beautiful as me? You're too kind. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 06-17-2012 @Dazz: it'll make a lot more sense when you're actually moving forward or backward when jumping. most people don't jump straight up in beat 'em up games; i just animated it that way because it's easier and i'm lazy, heh. i'll try to demonstrate this later. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 06-19-2012 again, not representative of game physics (it turned out even floatier this time) RE: BEAT 'EM UP - ~Axis~ - 06-19-2012 If you ask me, the way you jump looks unatural. It would look better if you used the mario jump style, but that's up to you. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Korby - 06-19-2012 because mario jumping doesn't look unnatural at all. Personally, I think it looks fine. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Star - 06-19-2012 I agree.^ Besides, it gives more personality to the character; which is obviously what he is going for. Silky smooth animations make me smile. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Thumbtacks - 06-19-2012 Looks like a Castlevania-style of jump. No changing directions in the air>? Also, how did you animate that so damn smooth? RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Crappy Blue Luigi - 06-19-2012 no, characters will have mid-air movement control, ala Streets of Rage 3. i just chose not to demonstrate this in the animation because the point was to show basic horizontal movement while jumping. and uh, no direct references to mario here, just the character design. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - TheGreatGatsby - 06-19-2012 I'm honestly really proud to say I've been watching this project from the start. I remember when you first brought that SoR sprite editing program to my attention. Good times... This really shows how talented you are when it comes to spriting. I can't wait to see where this goes, Crappy. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - TomGuycott - 06-19-2012 The other night I had a strange idea while thinking about this thread: Tom Guycott as a beat-em-up boss dressed as a tough guy, tag-teaming the player with Oshare Bones dressed up as a Poison-esque tranny. RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Gaia - 06-19-2012 Guycott as Hugo and Oshare Bones as Poison..? THIS IS MADNESS! RE: BEAT 'EM UP - Gors - 06-19-2012 help thanks, tomguycott, I didn't want to sleep today anyway RE: BEAT 'EM UP - TomGuycott - 06-19-2012 Shhh, just don't tell Devicho and you'll be fine.
