RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Helmo - 11-01-2014 I have a code if you guys want it edit: gone RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Koh - 11-13-2014 http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml Scroll down to the previous news post for more ORAS news. New content confirmed. Space. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - water dog - 11-24-2014 I'm shocked this topic isn't more active! Anyway I come bearing gifts. These are QR codes for some secret bases. This first one is Junichi Masuda's secret base QR code. It unlocks a special door in Mossdeep City. I'm not that far yet so I'm not exactly sure of what this implies but I'm sure it is something we're all going to want to do. http://i.imgur.com/taLBFrv.png And this second one is kind of a ... cheat? Something like that. Turns out you can gain exp in Secret Base battles. This one has a trainer that has 3 Blisseys all holding Lucky Eggs and the only move any of them know is "Bestow". This is made purely for grinding... also infinite Lucky Eggs! http://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/2n1oez/just_made_a_secret_base_with_6_lvl_100_blisseys/ Enjoy! RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - AuraLancer - 11-24-2014 I'm actually pretty disappointed in these games' contents. There won't be a third version, so why not add some Emerald stuff like the battle tents and the battle frontier? And why do they tempt us with this wonderful new radar thing and then not quite make it good enough? I mean, you can see the Pokemon's ability or the item they are holding, not both. Plus, only being able to tell if they have up to three perfect IVs? Come on, Game Freak! RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Koh - 11-24-2014 You mean there isn't a battle frontier? You mean we don't get a remix of that epic frontier brain theme!? Say it ain't so! RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Tellis - 11-24-2014 (11-24-2014, 11:12 AM)Koh Wrote: You mean there isn't a battle frontier? You mean we don't get a remix of that epic frontier brain theme!? Say it ain't so! Actually, there is. A remix of the Frontier Brain theme, that is. No Battle Frontier though. Apparently some NPCs hint that it's "being built" which may mean it'll show up in a patch or as DLC down the road. But if it's paid DLC then I might just give up on Pokemon because that sounds like a terrible path for Pokemon to tread down... And I don't have the game yet, so I don't know the context of WHERE the remix plays (or if it plays at all) but here it is: It's... okay? It's not what I'd call "good" but it's... there. For real though? Excuse me, this is gonna probably get long but... I've been listening to some of the ORAS tracks here and there and I'm having the same problem I had with X/Y's soundtrack, where even a good composition is brought down by having really shitty digital instruments (which was also an issue with the original Gen III games but that was because the GBA sound chip is terrible). It's to the point where I'm really resenting Gen VI just because Game Freak apparently can't figure out how to do quality streaming music on the 3DS, and that subsequently screwed up some of my favorite Pokemon music. Seriously, what happened to Route 113? Why on earth did they choose to use that weird over-used synth sound and a bad string sample? Why not use a flute instrument, like the original was kind of obviously aiming for? I always thought that was the point of that song, like, along with giving it a peaceful tone, it was also the route where you gathered ash to MAKE FLUTES. Why does it sound so tonally dissonant? Ugh, sorry for the music rant. I realize a lot of you probably don't care but I just... really hope the sound team can get things together for Gen VII. :c Gen VI is the first generation of Pokemon games where I've deliberately listened to other music while playing it, which is just... wrong. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - DioShiba - 11-26-2014 I actually like the OR/AS OST better compared to X/Y actually. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Koh - 11-26-2014 The remix isn't what I expected it to sound like. It's okay, but a fan made a better remix than that. As for that route theme, yeah it does sound a bit awkward. I wonder about Route 101...*listens* Not bad, sounds good. You know what though? They seem to really be hitting that high note on these songs, and it irritates my ears after a while. It's almost as bad as Gen 1's Screech high pitched noise. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - DioShiba - 11-26-2014 Well, yeah. There are fan made remixes that do sound a lot better than even the officially made music but that's because they have the time to mess around with the said music. We also can't forget that as much as Game Freak wants to release a quality product (And they do good with that), they have dead lines as well. They can't promise that the music quality is going to be 100% perfect but they try to do the best they can and that's the least I can appreciate from them. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Lemonray - 12-01-2014 I've been playing OR for a couple of hours a day since it came out. And on the transparent red 2DS, which I think is a neat little handheld. I have to say the L/R buttons are awkward to press especially if you're using the d-pad instead of the circle but since I'm only using the 2DS for OR the shoulder buttons aren't a bother, since they're never needed. The game is lots of fun. The nostalgia power level is pretty high up there, perhaps greater than the feel I felt playing SoulSilver and so far I've seen enough new content or minor new features to be satisfied. The gameworld remains very similar to the original layout of course but feels larger at the same time, and most of everything looks gorgeous. The in-battle backgrounds are even better than what X/Y had and do a lot to enhance the atmosphere- I particularly like the gym battle backgrounds. Mt. Chimney looked great during the evening also. And then But this is okay. RE: Pokémon AlphaOmega and RubySapphire - Chaoxys - 12-02-2014 I love this game but it opens up a number of questions, unless theres some events that I've missed. I really hope that either the 3rd part/sequel to X&Y, or if these games get a 3rd part, that they answer some of this |
