RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Garamonde - 04-02-2013 okay thank you! sorry if I was being bothersome, I just noticed that since both messages were read and I didn't know what was going on for a while, I just wanted to find out. I'm very happy now that I know though. RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Random Talking Bush - 08-13-2013 Bit of a teaser bump here, but holy crap RTB learned to extract models from games by himself! With bone structures and rigging! Gasp! Expect those (as well as others from the same games) sometime within a month, I'm gonna hold off on releasing them right away because they're gonna be ported to Garry's Mod first, since there are currently plans for 'em and I don't want my toes being stomped on again. RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Garamonde - 08-13-2013 Gasp indeed. Let me guess, from bottom to top, Wreck-It-Ralph, Jurassic Park and uh... idk, Eggplant Man? Wrecking Crew? RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - lemurboy12 - 08-13-2013 which games specifically? I've written MaxScripts to get the models, but I need to fine-tune them for each individual character. RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Carpaccio - 08-13-2013 Well holy sod, a Telltale Game's model AND a Wreck-It Ralph model in one shot? That's...well you made my day, you nonspecific linguistic foliage, you. I can only hope to see the Cy-Bugs and maybe something from the Back To The Future games from this sort of thing. (I've been trying to rip Citizen Brown from BTTF, but all methods seem to fail monstrously.) (I've been trying to rip Citizen Brown from BTTF, but all methods seem to fail monstrously.)Well... two things about that. The Ralph model I've got there is actually the (much superior) model from Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed. I'm also gonna get Gillius and the Monkey Ball characters next. And Back to the Future...? As much as I'd like to, the model format for that game is annoyingly complex. Compared to the rest of the Telltale games which I've been able to find vertex / polygon data for, it's got some sort of encryption or something. Same thing with Tales of Monkey Island. Pretty much everything else is available to me, though. Not gonna give up, though, I'll let you know if I happen to come across a way to make it work. RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - RoxasKennedy - 08-14-2013 Sonic Allstars Racing Transformed models with original bones?? Holy moley! I didn't know you could do this. All I ever got from SART was static and posed models. Nice job! RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Ton - 08-15-2013 Oh, this is awesome. I can't wait to see where this brings you. RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - ItsEasyActually - 08-17-2013 Great job on the rips RTB, but I am a bit curious. How'd you manage to get your hands on a raw model file to work with from ASRT? I never could find a way nor could anyone I knew... How'd you manage to get your hands on a raw model file to work with from ASRT? I never could find a way nor could anyone I knew...I just manually snipped the files I needed out of the GameAssets.M00/M01 archives. The files themselves are stored above their respective strings, to get the results I had up there I needed three different files -- .model, .modelresource and .skeleton. .model has the vertices, .modelresource has the weights and polygons, and .skeleton has the bone structures (obviously). (EDIT: Whoops, wrong filename.) RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - ItsEasyActually - 08-17-2013 Huh. I tried getting into the files, and I failed at managing to figure that one out. Well great job regardless! RE: Random Talking Bush's Model Rips - Random Talking Bush - 08-21-2013 Just a small update for now. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory: I'm gathering up all sorts of things for my next update, it's gonna be fairly large compared to the past few I've done, because... As for the Bomberman models, ApocHedgie (my brother) has a claim on submitting those. I still kinda need to rip the two of them before I can... I might just get the "in-game" models since they don't have buggered-up rigging and leave the "high-poly" version until later. Begging for things isn't the way to go about it (most of the time it makes me not want to work on 'em). This isn't the first time I've said that (I think it's about the fourth time now). There are things I've been meaning to do for a while now.
