RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Dazz - 06-17-2012 All online now! Great job everyone, this project just strived a lot in 12 hours! RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Maxim - 06-17-2012 System: PC Engine CD A strange game featuring muscular men in speedos, who can shoot laser beams from a gaping hole in their head. "Adam" is the Level 1 Boss. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Deathbringer - 06-17-2012 I still have some finishing touches to do but it's mostly just effects. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Dazz - 06-17-2012 Maxim, I know the series rather well... http://spriters-resource.com/psx_ps2/choaniki/sheet/689 Deathbringer, looking good! Here was whatever was done at the time back when I was still learning: http://i.imgur.com/0Yxin.png Even though it most likely wouldn't be needed, RadSpyro is feel free to use it no problem. Thanks very much for this! I'm ripping him very slowly, so this sheet will be a huge help. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - rgveda99 - 06-17-2012 Sorry I was delayed. Life got in the way. http://s6.postimage.org/wlnl6dlgh/spider.png RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Deathbringer - 06-17-2012 RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Techokami - 06-17-2012 Suggestion for Team Shoot: Do you know what tSR is sorely lacking in? It's arcade shoot-em-up enemies. No, not bosses, there's TONS of bosses. I mean the little grunts you shoot through to get to the boss. Like the tanks, turrets, jets, and helicopters of Aero Fighters. I'd do something about it, but I can't get the graphics files to load in Tile Molester (in fact, I've yet to find ANY arcade game's graphics file I can open in any graphic editor!) and sometime around version .07X the MAME team ruined the internal graphics viewer... you used to be able to very easily rip graphics from it, but now it's broken up into a grid and blocks the screen capture function from working while it is in use RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Random Talking Bush - 06-18-2012 (06-17-2012, 10:54 PM)Techokami Wrote: Suggestion for Team Shoot: Do you know what tSR is sorely lacking in? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - rgveda99 - 06-18-2012 Slime from King of Dragons. If your wondering why the slime's wall cling animation is red its because it only shows up in a specific stage. The green slime only appears during stage 3. If you want me to recolor the wall cling sprites to green just tell me. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Davy Jones - 06-18-2012 I would recolour all of them and leave a single duplicate with the red palette for references. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - rgveda99 - 06-18-2012 Ok I'm done with the red slime to green. I just created a custom grid that I use everytime I rip from Mame. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - Maxim - 06-18-2012 Ai Cho Aniki: Level 1 Enemies @Magma Dragoon: I am using Mednafen to rip from PC Engine (CD). It has a built-in Tileviewer: press Alt+D during gameplay, then Alt+2 to open the tileviewer. Switch between graphic planes with the cursor left and right keys and change the palette with ";" and "." - It doesn't show all the sprites from the game, but the stuff that is currently in memory. You also need a Frontend, since Mednafen is command-line only. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 5: _____-em-up! - TomGuycott - 06-18-2012 That sounds incredibly useful. I don't think I'd be able to handle it for my PC CD rips though, I've never worked with a command-line only emulator. :< |
