RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - TomGuycott - 08-05-2014 I'm willing to bet one of his possible swords is probably going to be a reference to his Wind Waker swords. It would be silly not to given all the Wind Waker references popping up already. An equally delicious reference would be his fork-looking swords from Ocarina of Time. What I REALLY hope is that he also gets to use a Trident. Swords and Tridents are the things most associated with Ganondorf and Ganon, so if it stopped there I'd still be set. Wouldn't be opposed to a third or fourth weapon completely original though, he certainly would deserve it. Some stuff from the slideshow I posted I'm excited about: -Zant uses almost every move he could use in Twilight Princess, which is awesome. Even stuff like the Phantom Zant copies. -Dark Link confirmed, probably as part of an attack by Cia, but POSSIBLY as an enemy. -Mother fuggin' Manhandla -Zant and Ghirahim are shown serving Ganondorf, but none of the three are shown associating with Cia's group. Perhaps there are actually three factions or more? Such as the heroes, Cia's group and Ganondorf's? -Boss Key!? RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Vipershark - 08-05-2014 DO NOT PURSUE GANONDORF RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Tellis - 08-05-2014 (08-04-2014, 10:52 PM)Drshnaps Wrote:Why are people interpreting "at select retailers" as anything but Gamestop, Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and/or Target getting the pre-order bonuses and no other retailer getting them? Nothing they've said really points towards it being "different retailers getting different stuff but not what the others have". I guess there's the whole separate names for each pack but that just makes seem like they're gonna be releasing them all later on the eShop.(08-04-2014, 10:40 PM)TomGuycott Wrote: The only way the preorder bonus thing would bother me is if there were specific costume packs for preordering the game at specific retailers, like they did with the costumes for the ninjas in Mortal Kombat 9. Pre-order bonuses are still trashy as hell, though. :I RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Mutsukki - 08-05-2014 It probably is different DLC for different retailers. Seeing as there 2 packs and that's really common practice nowadays. But yeah they'll... probably be on eShop later RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Vipershark - 08-05-2014 Who wants to bet that the final battle will have Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf teaming up to take on the final boss (while representing their respectve pieces of the triforce) to kick her out of Hyrule? Aaaaaaaaa I can't wait RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Koopaul - 08-06-2014 I might get this in the future but right now I'm saving up for Smash. Just change the elements and the effects? -Fierce Diety sword. Probably for Link or for Impa again. -Darknut Sword (TP version) for Ganondorf (the lightweight sword could be in his left hand) -Koloktos Swords for Zant perhaps? Probably better for Ganondorf since it's so big. -Death Sword for Ganondorf or Impa -WW Phantom Ganon sword for Ganondorf -Onox's spiked ball and chain for Link -Ocarina Ganon's double sword forks for Ganondorf -Gomess' Scythe, no idea who for -Tempered Sword for Link -Magic Sword for Link (The White sword is already confirmed, so it would be a cool reference for the original game) -The sword the Sages tried to kill Ganondorf with in Twilight Princess. No idea who, probably Ganondorf -The sword that Zant used to wake up Stallord. No idea who for though. -Magic Hammer variations for Darunia Eh, I'm too tired to keep going. RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Jermungandr - 08-07-2014 ... but the Giant's Knife is literally another term for the Biggoron Sword. http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Giant%27s_Knife Well I mean ... there's a technical difference but you know what I mean. RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - SchAlternate - 08-07-2014 (08-07-2014, 10:05 AM)Drshnaps Wrote: ... but the Giant's Knife is literally another term for the Biggoron Sword. Not really. The Giant's Knife is the blade you get from Medigoron, and the Biggoron Sword is the one you get from, well, Biggoron. They are both as strong, but the Giant's Kinfe is significantly less sturdy, snapping in two after a few uses, while Biggoron's Sword never breaks. Plus, one of the items you need to trade in the Biggoron's Sword sidequest is a broken sword, which looks identical to the broken Giant's Knife, but the later can't be traded to Biggoron for the ultimate sword because that'd make things much easier and convinient, implying that both swords use different alloys or something. RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - Jermungandr - 08-07-2014 That's what I meant by technical difference. Yes it is a name for a weaker version of the Biggoron sword but the point is that it is already a predefined sword. There's no reason whatsoever to believe that it would be the Razor Sword, that's just a straight up stretch. It's much more believable that they simply chose the wrong name to use for the two identical swords. RE: Waifu Warriors: Featuring Link from the Legend of Zelda series! - SchAlternate - 08-07-2014 Looked it up, she uses a Giant Blade, not Giant's Knife. It just kinda looked like the Razor Sword.
