RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Garamonde - 02-07-2012 They're up, awesome. ![]() RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 02-11-2012 Now for something a little LESS obscure. I hope to do more of the bosses, but as always I find myself starting with the end and working my way backwards. ![]() I'm PRETTY sure that all the monsters are somehow a PART of Red Falcon, so I just used his name on the tag. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Magma MK-II - 02-11-2012 Yes, but Red Falcon is the name of the alien organization. The guy himself is named Emperor Demon Gava (or something like that.) RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 02-11-2012 I'm pretty sure in the English version he was just called Red Falcon as well. I didn't even know about that other name until I looked it up. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Magma MK-II - 02-13-2012 Contra 4 kind of tied the american and japanese versions together, so Red Falcon became just the name of the organization. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 02-13-2012 Actually, with a little MORE research it turns out at the time of THIS game being made, the english name for the big gray guy was Jagger Froid... I have NO idea where they got that from, especially when some of the names for monsters were pretty close to the original (despite being switched around between each other). I made a new sheet to reflect this so it's accurate, though I don't care THAT much so really either this or the original work fine for me. http://i.imgur.com/ZNl8p.png Also I've got about four more bosses completely ripped, the sheets are just a mess. Those will come later today. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 02-18-2012 Unspeakable power!!!... I mean, Unspeakably large dump!! First off, more Contra III: ![]() ![]() ![]() Now for one you may or may not have heard of: Robotrek! ![]() This was an Enix RPG on SNES that I rented once. I never came close to beating it then, and then I played it again later and got to the third boss, and now I've finally buckled down (and cheated) and drove through the whole game in a day to get states for all the bosses, who are now entirely ripped. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aaaaand one enemy, though he TECHNICALLY only appears in the second to last boss battle. ![]() Next rips will be Zangya and what's his face in the DBZ Butouden thread. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Belial - 02-18-2012 I've seen that kid from Robotrek before, I think in an RPG maker char sheet. Never knew what he was from. Good stuff as usual! RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Ton - 02-18-2012 The Robotrek dude looks like Alex from Captain SNES. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Dazz - 02-19-2012 NNNNGGGFFFFFPPPPHHHH I love Robotrek - such an amazing game. I ripped the main character YEARS ago - probably about 8 years ago, actually. The sheet was majorly incomplete, of course. You've made me very happy. I never completed it though - I always start again and never get to the end. RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 04-06-2012 Quick submissions before work. Ninja Gaiden: ![]() ![]() Ninja Gaiden II: ![]() ![]() RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Garamonde - 04-06-2012 Got 'em. ![]() RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Gaia - 04-06-2012 (02-19-2012, 05:18 AM)Dazz Wrote: NNNNGGGFFFFFPPPPHHHH I do like to see a sheet of him in the site sometime. It would be nice aside from your usually unusual rips. But with that aside, nice rips Guycott! RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - TomGuycott - 05-15-2012 So I've been doing a lot of NES ripping lately, and I've realized that largely my NES rips have been made from games not using a traditional NES palette, but rather an RGB palette from the emulators I use. Does anyone think I should be going back and changing my previous rips, and should I be doing the actual NES palette for the future? RE: TomGuycott's Submission: The Revenge! - Ton - 05-15-2012 Ooh, thats a tough call. The purist in me says you should fix the old stuff... :/ |
