What's your point? My point is that it's overdone and to most generally irritating. (not many people want ANOTHER fire/fighting) There are so many type combinations, so why waste it on another type rehash? (didn't even think about them being flightless birds--I just thought bird :U) Dragon shouldn't be a subtype, though, because it neutralizes the starter good against it and makes the weaker one only hit 1/4x. I see some potential for that being unbalanced. I personally would prefer pure types. (not many people want ANOTHER fire/fighting)Well, how about giving them a type that would help them to fight their weaknesses, like in Gen IV? For example, Fire/Electric for the tiger, as Electric allows it to stand a chance against water types. Or Grass/Ground or Grass/Rock, optimizing its chances of winning against fire types. What about Water/Ice? Albeit overdone, Ice works for wonders against grass. Or maybe even Water/Flying for whatever reason? Water/Poison? ... Water/Buuuuug? ... I dunno, just sayin' RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - Koopaul - 12-10-2013 Yeah when thing get too out of hand it's probably best to stick with the plain types. When was the last time they did that? Gen 2. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - mutantyoshi - 12-10-2013 Actually, the only time they did that for all three starters. I agree with Koopaul, maybe we should just have it to where they are only one type. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - psychospacecow - 12-10-2013 Whatever you guys figure'd be best. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - SchAlternate - 12-11-2013 Could the fire type's form be at least part steel? I could see it wearing some kind chinese warrior like armor. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - Chaoxys - 12-11-2013 I think the typing should be reserved until we have some physical designs. If the best design incorporates a steel/other attribute then so be it. Also, I have an idea for a new pokemon, most likely for caves. A fruit bat that looks somewhat like a piece of fruit. It evolves into a fat bat based on a fruit bowl. Because I got that exact idea from that picture (aside from the neat fruit bowl part), but decided not to mention it since it's sort of redundant, considering we already have a fruit/bird. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - psychospacecow - 12-11-2013 How about a bug/ice type? Have it look like a spider crossed with a snow flake. And I certainly didn't get it from MLP RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - Koopaul - 12-12-2013 I'll add the Fruit Bat. But really I hate the idea of another bat Pokemon. Oh by the way I think we should start deciding on what we want our three mascot legendaries to be. But really I hate the idea of another bat Pokemon.Well, there's a lot of things one can do with bats, so I wouldn't be bothered if there are multiple species of bat Pokemon. As long as whatever new bat doesn't serve the same exact role Zubats did. As in, playing the role of "those freaking bats that just won't leave me alone whenever I go into any freaking cave". Stupid Woobats. At least Zubats evolved into Crobats. RE: VGResource Pokédex Project: IDEA PITCH - Chaoxys - 12-12-2013 (12-12-2013, 12:46 AM)Koopaul Wrote: I'll add the Fruit Bat. But really I hate the idea of another bat Pokemon. So by mascot you mean the ones on the boxes right? Well, they should probably mean something of importance to some extent then like, idk, "Past, Present, Future", or maybe "Greed, Sacrifice... idk, some third thing". Past present and future could be kinda neat, like maybe it's sort of the same pokemon, but from different points in time, like if it was an actual game, and you had the past version, when you battle it, you'd have to go back in time for whatever reason to catch it, and the other version would be the future. At the same time, I guess we should also consider things like the plot, like, how would *Evil Team* use this pokemon? |
