RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - ancient golem john - 06-10-2014 im distrubed by the lack of yoshi games this e3 RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - DragonDePlatino - 06-10-2014 Ah, completely agreed! Drshnaps' open-world theory makes perfect sense to me, also taking into account both Skyward Sword and the newest Zelda seem to share similar art styles/proportions. As pretty much everyone here, I can't wait for the new Zelda! A colossal open-world Zelda is great, but it would be a dream-come-true for me if they went the extra mile and threw in some roguelike elements. I mean, I'm not talking about traditional RPG stats and stuff, but a Zelda game based more around world randomization (side-caves and non-storyline ruins?) and inventory management would be incredible. And that's what I'm gonna be putting my money on, here. Next Zelda's gonna have randomized elements in one way or another. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - Jermungandr - 06-10-2014 Has anybody talked about the Kirby Wii U game yet? To be honest I'm kind of torn on it at the moment. I'm kind of upset that it's coming out for the Wii U, because I feel that the Canvas Curse format works better as a handheld game. But on the other hand, I am SUPER behind these playdough styled graphics. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - TomGuycott - 06-10-2014 More like Kirby: The Claymation Curse. Seriously though, it looks amazing. I feel like they almost swapped the platforms for this and Triple Deluxe. Triple Deluxe seems to play a lot like Return to Dreamland (And I'm ashamed to say I haven't played either of the games extensively yet, even though I own RtD), and Canvas Curse was originally on the DS. Now they have a Return to Dreamland kind of game on the handheld and the Canvas Curse style on the console. Doesn't matter either way to me really. I love Kirby, and I love the gamepad. I'm gonna eat this up like hotcakes. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - Kriven - 06-10-2014 I was hoping they were showing off DS virtual console when that started to play, honestly. Thought they had given options for display output. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - E-Man - 06-11-2014 So, I just woke up and when I checked Gamexplain, I noticed a certain yellow ball made his way into Smash Bros. Since you found that out way before I did, I'm not saying anything else about it besides being a very good last minute surprise at E3. By the way, I did a little searching around by myself, and it looks like there's no word about Kingdom Hearts 3. Considering that they mentioned the game is in the works and we got some media relating to it, I'm surprised that they didn't say anything else about it. They announced last week that they wouldn't be showing Kingdom Hearts at E3. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - E-Man - 06-11-2014 I'm feeling rather sheepish that I didn't get that memo sooner. By the way, what do you make of this? http://www.hyrule.net/2014/06/could-the-moon-be-crashing-down-to-3ds-soon/ RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - HandToeKnee - 06-11-2014 Sure looks like Link to me. Complete with Hero's Bow RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - TomGuycott - 06-11-2014 You mean like that "big news" that turned out to be info on Tropical Freeze and people went apeshit because it wasn't Zelda even though thre was no hint it WAS Zelda? Also, using the quotes around big news to emphasize it was used in the same context. tropical freeze was big news to me and the game is awesome, wasn't being sarcastic about its bigness as news. RE: E Three Two Thousand Fourteen - E-Man - 06-11-2014 Regarding the talk about the hero who may or may not be Link, my guess is that there's an option to select Link's gender at the beginning of the game, which has been a feature several Zelda fans tossed around for some time now. Like, I get that he appears to be firing a light arrow or whatever (which implies Zelda) but you seem to be discounting the fact that the arrow itself appears to be technological (even futuristic) in nature and that squid boss thing looked kind of like a mech of some sort. Maybe this is a future game with tron arrows or something, who knows. Either way though I'm still confused why people think it isn't Link. The facial features might be a little different but it looks exactly like him. Link looks completely different between various games (compare TP to SS for example) so him looking different in this one should be no surprise. There have been plenty of times where he wasn't wearing the traditional green tunic so using just that as an indicator means nothing. Aonuma didn't actually say anything at all and could have easily just been trying to stir up fan excitement (which he successfully did). |
