RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - psychospacecow - 05-02-2016 It is on Netflix if you have that. I really don't think its that bad of show really. It has a lot of leaps in logic to make it work, but if all you want to see is some cool action scenes, it does well enough. I'd be a hypocrite to say I don't like the plot, even if it wasn't implemented all that well. I really loved .hack when I was my lil' bro's age so it just seems natural. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - DarkGrievous7145 - 05-02-2016 I do not. I've had plenty of online sources recommended to me as well. To be honest, I partially just haven't felt the motivation to do it. I have lists of anime recommended to me by friends, and have yet to watch most of them. Hell, there's parodies I've been recommended that I have yet to watch, or at least, finish. That said, if I were feeling the drive to actually watch them, I would be finding a way. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - skabobbin - 05-03-2016 I really did try to enjoy SAO but i honestly couldn't, I only finished so I could have an actual opinion on it. The ending was amazing though in my opinion. I'm waiting for the second parts of Black Bullet and No Game No Life. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/skabobbin RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Inthegrave - 05-09-2016 Just got done Gurren Lagann. A blast it was! I was recommend this anime and all I can say is that I can see why everyone loves it. I highly recommend any Gurren Lagann fan to watch this analysis video: This video gives you so much appreciation for the anime. yes I know its part 2 but part one is basically just an intro. Trust me if your a Gurren Lagann fan you wont regret watching this video. I also love the music! Also I actually liked the time skip, it seems to me most people don't. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Rhyme - 05-09-2016 well shit here we go it's time for my monthly post oshiete! galko-chan is anime of last season for me, short, slice-of-life (probably kills it for some), but very funny, well animated bursts, episodes are about 8-10 minutes a piece and I'd recommend this to anyone with some free time, and the main girl is 10/10 heavenly waifu material, good show taimadou gakuen 35 shiken shoutai is a show about a school for antimagic, really good, if not a bit cheesy and fanservice-y, definitely harembait though (for better or worse), i'd recommend it to fans of shows that don't take themselves to seriously tanaka-kun wa itsumo kedaruge is a very cute show, albeit very slow paced - slice of life, of course, but i'd recommend everyone gives this show the 3 episode rule if they give it a try. the first couple are very slow macross delta is great, but only if you watched macross f netoge no yome wa onnanoko ja nai to omotta is adorable and i love the artstyle it has, but it's watered down in comparison to the LN, which is kind of lame, but it's still very enjoyable - i'd recommend it if you haven't read the LN, but if you have, maybe skip RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Maxpphire - 05-16-2016 Everyone go read/watch Hourou Musuko It's really good but the anime is weird as it skips over a lot of the beginning but calls back to it as memories or flashbacks. I would recommend reading it first. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - redblueyellow - 05-20-2016 Currently on episode 128 of Hunter x Hunter. I don't usually watch anime (the only other I have seen is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), but I have been really enjoying it. Honestly can't wait to be done though, since 140 or so episodes is a big time commitment. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Shade - 05-20-2016 Also watching Hunter x Hunter. I'm on episode 104 so I still have a little ways to go but holy crap is it worth every second. It's so full of "WOAHH awesome phewww that was pretty cool, daaang" moments. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - psychospacecow - 05-20-2016 I've been hearing good things about some show called "Boku No Hero Academia". It kind of looks like if Marvel wanted to make a show where the heroes were all students in context of a school. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Dolphman - 05-21-2016 I've seen it everywhere during my image browsing. Not sure about it yet, but it does look like something I'd be interested in. At least there's one character I already like, despite not being familiar with it: Tsuyu Asui. She just has that goofy yet weird kind of cute design. If I find the the manga at anywhere I buy my books, I'll might check it out. Wasn't sure about One Punch Man, until I watched a video with my brother that explains its history and why it's popular. I'll might wait a bit before buying the manga collections, as my room is in need of reorganizing. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - DioShiba - 05-21-2016 First of all, I would like to attest to the fact that Spongebob Squarepants is the best anime ever. Secondly, I can say that the only anime I bother watching over and over again is really cowboy bebop, that and I have akira and summer wars. With that said I think that I'm probably gonna end up picking up the boy and the beast soon since I know it was made by the same guy who made made summer wars anyways. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Yaronos - 05-24-2016 The only animes I'm watching are the Dragon Ball franchise and One Punch Man. The end. RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Rhyme - 05-28-2016 I rewatched 5 centimeters per second and it aged really well, i regret rewatching it when i'm in such an emotionally down-as-hell spot i'm curious if anyone knows of any movies or series that are similar in that they will turn me into a bawling fucking baby for hours don't mention your lie in april i watched that already RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - miyabi95_ - 05-28-2016 (05-28-2016, 03:44 AM)Rhyme Wrote: I rewatched 5 centimeters per second and it aged really well, i regret rewatching it when i'm in such an emotionally down-as-hell spot Colorful will ruin your entire day...or week... it's so good, but so painful to watch. hope that fits your criteria c: RE: Sword Art Appreciation - Anime Thread - Yaronos - 05-28-2016 Still waiting to the new Trunks Saga in Dragon Ball Super. |
