Whoa I really dig that Studiopolis theme.

Oh thank merciful Christ they're not using that ear-cancer Sonic CD jump sound.

I like the Popcorn Shop reference, but considering this project is being led by someone who's been a longtime fan prior to his game design career it doesn't surprise me. :p

I can't stop listening to it. So damn catchy, and very reminiscent to the Japanese Sonic CD soundtrack.

i kinda like it better than what they used in 1-3k. The Advance and Rush jump sounds are probably the most discomforting to listen to imo

i personally like the Adventure jump sound as well as the bounce-SWOOSH from '06/Unleashed/Colors/Generations.

Apparently Go got worse in a recent update. They removed some things like the tracking.

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - Goemar - 07-31-2016

The Vita (and thus PS-TV) has been hacked. As the PS-TV is rather cheap if it gets some decent emulators on it would be pretty tempting...

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - miyabi95_ - 07-31-2016

Here's hoping that Sony doesn't patch it. the lead developer did mention that the hack is only able to use homebrew software and nothing else, so maybe Sony will let it slide...

if anything, i hope the demand for Vitas increases at least a little bit. With how expensive these retail games are, there isn't much else for me to use my Vita for besides the few good games that I paid $40+ for.

I've seen it discussed like everywhere but here, but seeing that the NES Mini console Nintendo's putting out is already selling out with preorders illustrates a really terrifying point (I mean, it's GREAT NEWS for Nintendo, but)

They can literally make a miniature Nintendo and the damn thing still prints money. O_O

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - TomGuycott - 08-02-2016

I hope it accidentally has even more than 30 games on it, like games they planned to have but backed out on, and then somebody cracks it and suddenly you can get like 60 games.

That would be cool. Blank

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - Kosheh - 08-02-2016

I feel like I'm giving them a little more credit than they deserve, but

what if the thing contains a heavily modified Linux kernel/OS to keep production costs way down

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - BullockDS - 08-02-2016

My guess is that the systems are made of repurposed overstock 2DS/3DS hardware (or possibly Wii, although one would think that the Wii Mini already fulfilled that purpose) and if that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if the interface is thus a stripped down version of the 3DS/Wii firmware.

RE: GAMER LOUNGE 20XX (NO CASUALS!!) - Vipershark - 08-03-2016

I doubt it.
This is a slightly upmarket plug-n-play box.

Using existing hardware seems really overkill and, honestly, like something that would take way too much R&D to repurpose.
