RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - PrettyNier - 03-05-2012 are people honestly concerned about boobs drawn with a pencil RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Previous - 03-05-2012 Why, yes. As a member of the gay club I feel offended by the sight of female breasts, might they be drawn or real. Jokes aside, I think such images are perfectly fine (though the rules state that such art has to be labeles correctly etc etc), and Chris has posted similar stuff before when nobody cared. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Gwen - 03-05-2012 I actually have no problem with them Gnossy, but we do have younger members on here who might. I'm going to go draw some John Baizley inspired stuff now...(not really, I'm going to play Skyrim) RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Gors - 03-05-2012 I edited your post to display it in a spoiler tag. Chris has posted nude art before, but I think he put it inside spoiler tags. I don't have any problems with nude art, really, but if we can avoid problems, then why not? RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Marth - 03-05-2012 I honestly think there is no reason to even spoiler tag it. It isn't pornography it's fine art. There is a very fine line dividing the two, this is depicting the human body elegantly, not drawn to evoke anything of an erotic nature. Just my opinion RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Gors - 03-05-2012 I know and I understand all this, but as I said before, if we can avoid bitching from happening, why not? Some people are sensitive about this stuff (though idk why) so putting it in spoilers already warn the person they're abound to see that type of art. though if you all want, I can revert it back to normal image; I honestly think this shouldn't be a problem at all. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Garamonde - 03-05-2012 I didn't want to cause a stir, I just don't personally like to see that type of thing. I tend to be unable to un-see things. >_> I have nothing against Jason's art whatsoever though (it's wonderful), so I don't want it to come off that way. It's just how I am and I apologize if it offended anyone. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Delicious - 03-05-2012 Lil' boobies never hurt nobody! Society classifies sex (Or anything related) as being worst than violence, it's hilarious! Honestly, I don't care what the "normal" is, I hate clothes - They are uncomfortable and expensive - and I wish to go to work naked. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - NICKtendo DS - 03-05-2012 I look neutrally upon nudity, but not everyone has the same view. You have to respect that, no matter what YOU think. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Gwen - 03-05-2012 I'll put this in it's correct thread as well, but I was feeling like I could milk this whole thing and stuff RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Devicho - 03-05-2012 (03-05-2012, 09:21 AM)Mighty Jetters Wrote: I didn't want to cause a stir, I just don't personally like to see that type of thing. But yeah, put me down as "Has no problem with artistic nudity, but it's better to spoiler tag it just in case". That doesn't mean I want to see others' thingies. I already realize this, but that doesn't mean I like looking at myself either if you want know, and it doesn't mean I personally have to like it. Everyone's going to have differing opinions about things though... ...But I'd like to end this discussion here anyway. RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Star - 03-05-2012 I'd like to put my 2 cents into this before it ends: As artists, we need to respect the different views that society has over nudity, instead of mock it with such statements as "ITS JUST DRAWN BOOBIES GET OVER IT". Some may not be very comfortable with it due to religious views, etc. Whatever the situation may be, we need to respect it even if the other person may or may not be in the wrong. They do not think like us. As artists we know it is indeed art(it's even seen throughout history in sculptures, paintings, etc!) but there are people who don't see it that way whatever the reason my be. With us being able to comprehend other people's views, it not only makes us better people but better artists as well. So yes, I'm up for the whole spoiler tag thing. ANYWAY Something I made today in drawing class RE: Doodles and Finished Pieces. - Devicho - 03-05-2012 I guess overall it just bugs me a bit how it seems that people are more afraid of their own anatomy than they are of depictions of violence. I can sort of understand reasons behind it, but to me it's just a part of our biology. Society is weird, though. Either way, yeah, just spoiler that stuff. |
