RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-11-2015 Hmm, well Id have to make it shorter since the slash is only supposed to hit above his head. I'll try something. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - recme - 02-11-2015 shorter? are you kidding me. in your animation, its so short that attacking with it is completely useless in terms of video games. having range with an attack makes it useful, so dont be scared if you want to add a lot of range RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-11-2015 Well , what I ment was that if it it hit all around, the regular attack would be useless. Basicly it's mebt to be an overhead attack, so you can attack above/flying enemies. EDIT: Wanna help with the project? http://www.vg-resource.com/thread-26649.html RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-12-2015 If you're afraid of it reaching too far forward, you could make it like your horizontal slash, but upwards, so that it stays narrow. Or maybe an upward thrust, like Link. After all, it's Peanutbutter Gamer we're talking about, so his moveset should be inspired by games he likes, meaning his sword moves would probably benefit from resembling Link's. I'm so hungry, I could eat Pee Bee Gee! *inhales* RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-12-2015 An upward thrust. Also, Midi, did I get you watching PBG or something? Because when I started this thread, you said you weren't familiar with PBG. EDIT: Okay, does anyone know any good composition software that has a piano in it? RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Neweegee - 02-12-2015 I think you should make PBG keep the sword straight at the end of the attack instead of tilting it. You could probably the give attack a little more height that way as well. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-12-2015 (02-12-2015, 06:34 PM)Joxon Wrote: Yeah. Figured I should watch a bit so I knew what I was talking about for the game. Next thing I know, I'm hooked. XD And Neweegee's right, the sword should stay straight up. Might help to have it reach a bit higher, too. There's no harm in letting his arm reach over his head if needed. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-12-2015 How's this? RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-13-2015 Yes, that looks better. Maybe make the blade juuuuust a couple pixels longer. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-13-2015 RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-13-2015 Poifect~! Next move! RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-13-2015 Well what about the swim sprite on the last page? RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-14-2015 Oh, I thought that was some kinda weird jump. ^^; His arms need to spread out on the way down, and his legs should be kicking like flippers. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Joxon - 02-14-2015 How's this? And what would be a good idea for a second attack In the combo? EDIT: I was screwing around and made an 8-bit attempt. RE: PeanutButterGamer Sprites + More! - Kelvin - 02-14-2015 No, that's not what I meant. His arm should reach up further, and spread out wide on the way down. Also, his legs still look like a weird jump. They should go back and forth against each other, like a walking cycle without lifting the feet. |
