RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - [email protected] - 06-12-2017 I was wondering if someone could also help me with ripping a file. Lightscale Trident or the Ceremonial Trident. Lightscale Trident or the Ceremonial Trident. I figured out how to rip and convert models using the information and software used in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URf9zrv-oa8 It's not really hard but cleaning up the models is. So far I've uploaded 3 models to thingiverse that I got from the game. A goddess statue, the sheikah slate and the exterior model of a shrine: https://www.thingiverse.com/Fank86/designs. It is used for 3d printing so they don't have any textures and all models are converted to solids. There are 50 spears in the game files, all numbered but not named. So i either have to convert them one by one to find the right one or perhaps it's the same number as used in the ingame encyclopedia. edit: Lightscale Trident is number 13 in my game but it's not the 13th model. I am behind a firewall with many site for downloading the game blocked. Send me your email in a pm. RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - CosmicLin - 06-14-2017 I'm having some trouble with Purah's model. I've managed to extract it successfully but the only textures I've managed to find are labelled Tex2. Does anyone know how to properly convert these without them being output as empty black images? All of the respective "Tex1" archives are found on the disc, not the update. RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - FQuintanilla - 06-15-2017 So exactly does the terrain work in Breath o the Wild? I think someone mentioned heightmaps earlier, and if that's the case where do I get them? Anyone know anything else about it? Also, I've made a set of automated model extracting scripts over here: https://github.com/Makiah/BotW-SBFRES-to-FBX. Just run the CompleteAutomation.py script with Python 3.6, and it should extract all SBFRES models and their Tex1 counterparts automatically to BFRES and PNGs, and export them all to FBX with RTB's 3DSMax script, all from command prompt with a couple other features. Read the Readme for more info. (Disclaimer: I don't condone the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted models!) I also have nds models not uploaded and I did that a year ago... Whatever on another note how are we dealing with Lods since some models have some ? (but I guess people aren't interested in those crappy ones anyway but curiously & surprisingly enough master sword has a clean lod made by hand compared to others which were automated) Would you mind sending me both version of that master sword model? Is there a way to get the files without having a Wii U? A download link with all files attached? I'm willing to buy the game and do it but not if I have to. Thanks for any help!! RE: (Another) Zelda Ripping Project! - Wonder Prop - 06-22-2017 I've been working on the Urbosa and Old Man models trying to fix them up for some animation practice and have run into some issues applying the normal maps. Based on the model it looks like they used separate geometry layers to apply the normal textures and somehow blended them together. Has anyone figured out how they did so or a way to cheat them back in? I'm working on making them into a PBR-based shader (since I recall those being mentioned earlier) but am caught up in work to play around with it more. Looking forward to when weapons start getting rolled out.
