I really liked it but my big problem was the spinning physics. In the old Sonic games when you balled up, your speed depended entirely on the level. Like Diogalesu mentioned I tried using the U shaped ramp and go up and down figuring if I balled up I would eventually gain height and speed, but that was not the case. Spin dashing just acts like a temporary mini boost that doesn't gain speed depending on if your going downhill.

But I really liked it otherwise. I didn't mind the music but none of it was catchy or memorable.

What are you people talking about this is a great game.

I mean yeah, Sonic stands on walls, but... That doesn't really mess with the gameplay. And the animation in the beginning is supposed like that, to remind you of the old games. And the speed up time isn't really that long. Anyways, this is all just my opinion.

Don't know what the latest argument is right now, but about sonic colors:
So far it's in interesting sonic game, but I myself found some of the past titles more interesting, like shadow the hedgehog(Neo-Contra, Sonic style) and unleashed(warehog mostly, but the day stages were fun to), but once I get the chance, I will play it. I'd like to see what all powers you can get from the wisps.

I'm not surprised. I've been on another forum talking a lot about sonic games(Haven't really been part of the fan base till last February), and I've been told this many times and flamed for it by others for liking games that others didn't like. Not to be rude, but I honestly could care what others think of my tastes nowadays, cause I liked just about every sonic game, and someone has something to say about all of them and act like they're better then me because I don't join the sonic hate bandwagon. Like I said, it's nothing against you, but the drama and shit I've been through over the last 8 months debating about sonic games have given me a bad view of the sonic fanbase altogether. All I'm gonna do is speak my mind on the subject and try not to argue with people with people who are just going to toss out my opinion because I also liked sonic06(for what it was) and Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite sonic game. Cool

My bad, I actually meant to type "Couldn't care less". This PC is slow, and sometimes the words I type don't come in.

Whoa man, I wasn't talking about you guys when I said that, and even if I did, I don't even know what you think so I wouldn't be able to say it. I was talking about all the drama I went through on another forum because I liked the sonic games that everybody else there hated. It made me an easy target for a lot of flaming, and that was the reply to me not have good taste in games. I didn't mean to insult anyone. If you do have legitimate criticism, then fine, I just don't wanna be attacked or anything in the future because I happen to disagree.

Just to make it clear though, if we're gonna discuss sonic, lets not go into pointing out people taste in games, cause from experience, it gets no one anywhere. Cool

Sega were originally making a 2D Sonic for the iPhone, they decided to rename it Sonic 4 and upscale it to the consoles.

Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka says that all the negative perceptions of recent Sonic games are the fans fault because 2D fans want 2D games, and 3D fans want 3D games, and are nothing to do with their quality. So we have this release for the 2D fans that'll hopefully shut us up. -If you buy the iPhone version, Sega will reward you with this exclusive level:

Sega have confirmed that the only part of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 they have completed is writing its story, which might give you an idea of their priorities.

It is amazing how stupid that review is.

Literally it's just "HURP SONIC GAME BAD AM I COOL YET DURP"

But this game is actually pretty decent

Literally Sonic Team gave the fans what they were bitching about for the past ten years and it came out pretty well. It's enjoyable, but it has very fustrating moments (like every sonic game ever) but can be really fun at times.

I also am glad homing attack isn't as borken as I thought it would be. Granted it is broken, but not press this button to win easy.

It's a really good game. Piss easy though, Glad I didn't waste 15 bucks on it!

I just played the demo on 360 and i couldn't agree more with Vipersharks quote.
My standard MIDI synthesizer has better Squarewaves than this game and i still can't believe how incredible stupid Sega is. The physics are shitty, no feel of momentum, and evrything is booster-ridden.
Anybody thinks, we should mailbomb Iizuka with printed versions of the Sonic Physics Guide?
